well dont get carried away thinking they are good. they(indians) suffer racism there(us) but after coming back to india they show themselves as great personalities! remember an average true indian is honest and does not have much money to send their kids in USA. it is the corrupt politicians and cunning businessmen' blood that represent what you say "american indian". the bright indians you see are people who will ditch their own old parents as they did to their country - studied here in government subsidy and when it comes to pay it off they have their pissing tools ready! dont take them as an image of indian.
one more thing to say.... all the problems that the americans face is because they still haven't been able to brush off their British genes. it may sound harsh but think on it.

What Anna experienced in her schooling years is experienced by all Indians in the US.

The difference is that such treatment is not so obvious with adults.

Most migrants or non-migrants in the US are blissfully ignorant of how intensely they are disliked by Americans!

Like the Indian media which thinks they are on par with their American counterparts, these foolishly oblivious news N R Is think they are being welcomed by Americans who are actually doing the bare minimum under the diktats of decency to not be overtly rude to these annoying and pesky Indians!

Many migrant Indians get so carried away that they start thinking Americans actually like the circus that average Indian family life is!

These new N R I never take the trouble to blend in by learning about American culture or social protocol and ultimately get insulted.

They then blame racism among "few" Americans and carrying on with their "Indian" ways of behaving badly!

The question Indians need to ask themselves is that would they tolerate if Americans came to India and started living the way they live in their country?

The racist tweets that were sent out after Nina won crown were bad but we need to realize no way could have Nina won the Miss India crown with her dark skin!

Come on people, we have "fairness" treatment for Men in India and we are complaining about being "victims" of racism on the other side of the planet?

Put downs and looking down upon with a ... "YOU TOO ARE HERE IN AMERICA? MY GOODNESS! HOW ON EARTH DID THIS HAPPEN?" ... is an Indian thing ... when one Indian sees another Indian in the US of A. I have till date NOT seen or felt ANY discrimination or felt being stared at nastily with lewd glances from any person of either American descent/origin. Indians treat other Indians abusively and nastily. Real Americans are NOT discriminating at all.

y everyne is feeling pity 4 davauri.agreed, she is not very fair.but she has good looks.and that also matters in real world.mostly people without good looks9black and white) also face lot of discrimination and bad jokes/rejection etc.whereas beautiful faced people with good figure have lot of advantages.A majority of people face this .this isonly a beauty pageant and they will crown some one with a little above average beauty. this is quite normal.and davaluri fits the bill.of late does anyone remember the girls who have been crowned miss india and they find it difficult to get a break in bollywood.

One NIndian has commented here that nina looks like african american or black from somalia whereas here in US americans say that she has caucasian features with dark skin or she looks like a italian or hispanic with a deep tan. What nindians dont seem to get it that Sindians look same like Nindians majortly except with dark skin color besides not all Nindians have fair skin color. Majority have dark/black skin color jsut watch news instead of bollywood
