It was southern kings who fought and spread their empires to entire of South East Asia. When North was being conquered by Moghuls and Nawabs - South kingdoms have spread Indian culture from Burma to Indonesia.
Happiness is a luxury for people who get educated and are intelligent. Illiterates and dumb people are always very happy because they are not capable of thinking about anything. So higher the education level of a state, higher the suicide rates.

I would say that the problem is a lack of a holistic education, combining the best of material and spiritual knowledge.
The present system of education is highly westernised and materialistic, and it is a fact that the suicide levels is also very high due to high complexity of life.
A good spiritual education is also needed to help a person be more balanced and stable in the inevitable storms and chaos of life.

dey iya, you know one thing? Look for another data. Who are ppl most killed by bombs, communal clashes? suicide is negligible in front of them. For centuries north is screwed by Babbar`s aulaat!!! We are safe in that ragard. To teach a lesson to you ppl, gods sent mouzzis to rip your as s apart!!

No, they are smart enough to gauge the real true condition of a sinking ship (India)!
India is going to be a place where the "survival of the fittest" concept is going to be tested on humans in the coming years!
Only to types of people will survive and thrive in future India ....... 1. The "fittest" and 2. Congress Party's vote bank parasites (who get everything for free)!
All other Indians are better off dead!

Wherever Tamil goes like srilanka/Malasia/even Bnagalore they are having the habit of domination.This is becuase of greediness and thus creat problem like ethinic violence and suicide.Please put your mid for a while and think why Gujaratis/Marwadis are not having problem

Tamils have always been smarter than the average Indians!
Tamils know how badly Congress Party has ruined India and they also know about the impending doom facing India's middle class in terms of future prospects of maintaining a decent lifestyle!
With the situation becoming worse for all hardworking Indians except for Congress Party's free loading vote bank people, Tamils have decided that the best option now is to end their lives with dignity when they can!
Reason given above is "southern states are more literate than the northern states. With education comes higher level of expectations and that gives rise to disappointments"... Now what good is that education which increases suicidal tendencies? Time to introspect.

Education that is talked about is the one that is aimed on a purely material plane. I doubt, people who think about other's welfare, serve poor, help fellow citizens, have pets and care for them, spend time with a Guru or Teacher or a Trainer, uld be suicidal.

They come with intolerance. Our path or no path. But we in India have stratified and taken away the dignity of lower castes in our temples, religious books and how can we be better than them
