Because majority of Tamilians (mostly young people) are emotional and think from heart and not brain. Also their lifestyle has now changed to follow film stories and they need quick results ..say within 3 hours just like in a movie. The politicians add oil to this mentality. This situation has developed mostly after 1967. I am a tamilian born and living in TN and watching this sad story with a lot of sadness.

The younger generation in tamil nadu is much more intellectual than the older generation. Literacy levels have improved remarkably, and there is no comparison between the literacy levels of past and present. To state that younger tamilians 'are emotional and think from heart and not brain' is not correct.
A more indepth analysis is needed by experts to probe the causes. This article provides indeed many valid clues to this phenomenon.
It has been proved that patients who are in an atmosphere of love with loving friends and relatives recover much faster from diseases or injuries than those who are not in such an atmosphere.
Just as a loving atmosphere heals the body faster and better, similarly a loving atmosphere is the best healer for the mind's diseases and injuries.
One usually finds one's family as a source of love, rest and healing.
Where there is egoism there is no love, and where there is love there is no egoism.
It is wise to remember the words of the ancient sages in this context," Vasudeiva Kudumbakam" -- The whole world is one family.
Unfortunately most of us parrot this teaching in speeches and sayings, without implementing it in actual practice.
Only when are able to see everyone as our brothers and sisters, regardless of caste, creed, religion, nationality, race, class, economic status and other man-made barriers, can we able to create an atmosphere of love in this world.
When we see anyone and everyone as part of ones family we will be able to connect and emphathise with all and love all.
It is this kind of an attitude which the ancient Rishis wanted us to foster, and which is potent to solve not only the issue of suicides but also almost every other human problem.
Seeing everyone as part of one's family, as one's brothers and sisters, will greatly develop an atmosphere of love and warmth, and in the process win the grace and blessings of God as well.

It is also love that empowers one and makes one strong, both for the giver and receiver of love.
Under the influence of love, even weak people have done superhuman things.
This is the reason why love is considered the greatest power on earth.
