The role of President in of celebrity in normal situation, but becomes important when any constitutional problem arises. Somehow Presidents earlier have been used a rubber stamp by ruling parties, whereas President has used his jurisdiction when none of the party was in a position to make Govt. in Centre. If Presidents in the past would have been Charishmatic like Indira, our our EC reforms would have been implemented, and many problems as faced today in political system would have been solved. Let us hope from Pranab that he will take care of all such issues during his tenure.

We lost hope after Dr. Kalam. But, now it seems a light is there like Mr. T.N. Seshan, Mr. J.M. Lyngdoh ...
as long as he was a congressman, he had to obey the orders of the high command and hence couldnt do justice to the role assigned to him. but once he came out of their clutches, he has become a free man to do what ever he feels is good for the nation. hope he continues to serve the nation.

If president cannot come out of cluches then who can.if prisedent is not free man then who in the country is.
