Two wrongs don't make a right? If Rajiv was involved in 1984 riots, then he shouldn't had been elected. If NM involved in the 2002 riots or incompetent in controlling them, then he is suitable for national politics.

If both are bad, then we don't want to repeat the mistake of electing Rajiv in 1984 elections.
Well written article for the uneducated illiterate. I agree that most riots are a reaction to a wrongdoing for long but this was a preplaned riot headed by Modi. Let's not talk about Modi not doing anything to stop the riots He organised it and when the writer talks about the movement of the security forces it was instructed by the top leadership to move but not do anything to stop the riots. Also muslims oposing the construction of the temple Let the supporters of the temple built the most grand temple but on their own land and not by demolishing another religious monument belonging to another religion.

In AP, telangana region politicians (nizam lovers) blaming hindu majority seema-andhra people like Hitler blamed jews and BJP supporting them. RSS is against AP bifurcation to avoid increase of left wing extremism, which in turn will have an impact on national integrity. So BJP feeding regional and religion tensions make it worst than Congress.

BJP supporting nizam lovers against hindu-majority in AP bifurcation. RSS is against the bifurcation because it will have impact on national integration and yet BJP supporting the bifurcation for vote bank politics. So think who is currently trying to insult H'relgn.

I do agree with first part of your comment but not the second part of your comment. If I were M'slim I wouldn't oppose temple construction. BJP actually want opposition so that it can use the opposition to get more votes. I am a hindu and hence strongly oppose BJP (and NM for being part of it) for its vote bank politics. It is stupidity to think that all people who oppose BJP will support Congress. I strongly oppose BJP for its vote bank politics and support for AP bifurcation and it doesn't mean that I will support Congress.
might be that he did nothing to prevent the 2002 riots.
But the most serious real charge against him (by a very big margin) is that he has successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of a large section of common Gujaratis and non-Gujaratis about his claims to be a champion of "development"!

I think your lack of knowledge is clear from your blaming attitude on other religions and countries. People like me oppose BJP for supporting telangana; its politician want separation because they cann't compete with the rest (inferiority complex) in AP.

Congress is bad but BJP is worst than Congress. In Karnataka, whatever bad Congress did in 50 years done by BJP in 5 years. BJP slogan "India is shining" in 2004 parliament elections was indication of BJP achievements during NDA govt and we know how people responded by voting against NDA.

After reading the article by Colonel Athale, and the various responses and reactions to same, all one feels is a sense of shame.. Shame as an Indian and a Human being ..shamed by the shameless defence and support of a man who as blood of innocents on his hands! It would have been a different matter if he as the CM of Gujarat had acted and punished the people behind the Godhra Carnage. But how can any civilised human being accept killings of innocent men, women and children who were not connected with those responsible for the Godhra Train Fire ? His act is as heinous as Rajiv Gandhi\\\'s comment on the anti sikh riot.. \\\'tremors are bound to happer when a huge banyan tree is felled\\\'!
