People in India are asking, Where is the prince
by MHS on Jun 23, 2013 07:50 AM  | Hide replies

The subjects of a banana republic are asking , Where is the prince.
He intends to capture the throne in 2014.
He is very brave. He sometimes travels by Mumbai local and he even stays in dalit homes.
When people of Banana republic agitate for lokpal he goes to USA.
When people of Banana republic agitate against rapes he goes to London via Rome.
Now that rains have destroyed holy Hindu lands he has vanished to Sweden via Italy.
All Mangoes in Banana republic are asking. Where is the prince

1. Holy lands destruction is the man made creation - living like an uncivilized beings.
2. Govt is doing more that whats expected - only the tamasha men are shamelessly disregarding the Uttarakhandis and helping only the pilgrims.
3. Prince doesn't want to make publicity of himself - his men are doing the job with excellence.

Pls answer, what qualities in you makes you feel u can stand as a candidate for an imp post of PM.

SHAME
by Anand sodo on Jun 23, 2013 03:02 AM  | Hide replies

What prevented the Government of India or Uttarakhand from pressing into service all the Helicopters in India (IAF, State Govts, Corporate, Private, Pawanhans etc)and flying them from temporary Helipads in and around Doon,Haridwar,Rishikesh at regular intervals of 3 to 5 minutes?
The answer is simple, The Government is MORE worried about its CREDIT Account Deficit Due to the increased import of crude for these Rescue helicopters and cares a DAMN for the stranded and marooned citizens fighting between life and death in waterless, foodless and shelterless conditions surrounded by the foul smell of rotting corpses.
A NATIONAL SHAME. but then who cares we will again be voting for and fighting with each other for these very SCO*NDR*LS called POLITICIANS both in the Government and the Opposition who are busy playing the numbers and names games.

Really really shameful....while the CM of Karnataka is engaged in giving rice for Re.1 per 1 kg, it is shameful to know the people in flood affected areas are charged at unbelievable PRICES. Immediate steps should be taken by the GOVERNMENT OF INDIA in this regard for transporting all the pilgrims safely to their native place. Free food and transportation should be immediately made. PM should release funds immediately for free food and transportation. It is the "RIGHT" of every INDIAN. Please share this if you have any concern for our fellow INDIANS.

WE MAY LEARN A LOT NOT FROM THE DEVELOPED WORLD BUT FROM NEPAL
by rohansen on Jun 22, 2013 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

Have more walks and not roads in those eco-sensitive higher altitudes. In Nepal people walk for upto 30 days for Annapurna trek with innumerable lodges who offer free bed for meals to be bought from them. Thousands of westerners walk with or without guides and helpers. Even single women are regularly walking these places since long with a few crime reported of course. As an alternate option 19 seater planes take one to far off Jomsom(same altitude like kedarnath) or you walk for few days up and down. STOL airports with cows and goats roaming across the fence with zero infra take people at fraction of cost to Lukla, Suketar, Jumla, Jomsom. Safety factor is surely abysmal but Uttarakhand can learn a lot from Nepal as history and culture of Uttarakhand and Nepal is tied together.

Can this statement of yours save the lives of the marooned citizens in any way?
I appreciate your statement,But Now, the call of the moment is not SERMONS - BUT - HELP for those marooned. What can be done or stopped from being done...can be discussed and decided later in normal times... so that such tragedies can be prevented...BUT now...that the tragedy has struck - what is wanted is HELP for those Battling between life and death.

shameful senerio
by Harbinder on Jun 22, 2013 05:51 PM

IF some one will pick the pessanger by taking their gold or ornament just to take them in helicopter , does not look nice .
why not all states helicopters can be free for a week . Why not the helicopters of cheif minister and private helicopters can be taken .
Shameful think , five of her family lost and then she has to take helicopter by paying her gold bangles . No doubt bangles are not better than life . But .....why our blood become so white .
Really a painful situation for those having nothing they just wait for their turn .
Even the TV channels ,more concern for the first report , using private helicopters , does any channel hired the helicopter for a day and rescue any person .
What happened we know that ??? what help u do for their life . People are without food and water .
Painful scenario without any control or planning .

Cutting trees are reason for cloud burst
by Indhea on Jun 22, 2013 01:47 PM  | Hide replies

There are mountains are removed for the purpose of some development like Hydel power generation. This leads deforestation, it is not only reason for such cloud burst in Uttarkhand.

When clouds carry huge moisor, other places like plains are too hot due to no trees. So it is not raining and cloud raising high, gathering together as huge in quantity and when reaching some greenery place like Himalayan hills, likely small dams which constructed for Hydel power generation, clouds become cool and started to pouring like in Uttarkhand. So Hydel is not only real cause for this burst, reason is not having vegetation or trees are in the plain is real cause. Because of Hydel power, the were some development happened around river, those are leading to land fall because it is not covered by plants. Most of the lands are shaved cleanly nothing other than soil. So our immediate need is to grow trees everywhere. If so this kind of situation will not happen because rain because scattered rain and will not accumulate together as large volume. I know we never learn anything from Uttarkhand disaster other than shouting, crying for few days until media flash it. Every one of us in the globe is reason for this disaster and global warming. This is only start, still we are going to face more such disaster! Be prepared with brave heart before it reaching your family or plan to plant trees and grow it to save your future. One other way is having some large dams, to control the flood at some time!

When we have large dams, that will be used to hold some water, so we can issue warning for those who living in river bed. If we look at all these waters are gone for nothing other than killed many. If we have huge dam and river integration in this place water diverted to different direction and saved it for good purpose, this kind of floods very well controlled. But our genius in the Congress party and Rahul kind of genius people never accept it. Because if poverty gone out of people by this kind of development, they will be educated and party can not survive by divide and rule. We don't want charismatic leaders, need development leaders! Think before voting or ready for cry!

Uncivilized Development Destroyed Uttarakhand
by Bigtribe on Jun 22, 2013 09:19 AM

1. How can any human be that insensitive to construct building on highly eco sensitive tracks lf land?
2. Hills conquered by builders for construction of resorts, hotels, guest houses, entertainment arena, township market, money making ashramas etc.
3. River bank and river water bodies are encroached by temple authorities, illegal hoteliers, tourists camps without having any scant respect for the nature or environment.
4. Rivers become the dumping yards for all the garbage created by the settlers, human excreta, and human body remains etc.
5. Business interests mindlessly constructed dams, factories, cut trees, destroyed huge natural stones creating caves for sheltering gods etc.
