The card contains the name, address and photo of the card-holder besides a unique number. It is officially accepted as identity card for many purposes.When the square figure printed in one corner is scanned hooking the scanner to the central data-base, a lot of more personal particulars about the individual can be obtained confirming the individual's identity.
UID's main aim is national security and this should be given to even to foreigners in the country who come to work or visit. While National Population Register cards are to given only to Indians who are citizens of India. There can be convergence of both the cards if the numbers given to UID and NPS can be issued to all Indian together having a same number.
There is post office everywhere. People may have to travel 20 miles to the nearest bank. To fill up a form to get this card, one needs to pay bribes; otherwise forms will not be available. For a villager to get their money from a bank 20 miles away every week is expensive and it is dangerous as Thugs will be waiting on the way to rob him.
Before implementing this scheme for an underdeveloped poor country like India, the Government must use their brains, if they have any under the turbans.

MM Singh gave away all oil & gas fields to Ambanis, coal fields to Anil Agarwala; they built palaces in Bombay and London. This is a big loot that is going on since 1993 introduced by MM Singh.
My wife is waiting for the Card.Compalint to the UID office thru mail has no ewffect.I think if the Card was d espatched and lost ,they should send the Duplicate and ask us to pay the4 Fees if any.But,no action at all.

In West Bengal, you need to pay Rs.1000 to a tout to get your Tax Card; otherwise forms are not available.
They Dole Public Money to further Congress agenda.Parlaiament has no role in the Fund allocation for the Satates.UPA Chief and to very small extent PM decdie the Fund deployment.OParalaijmme4nt has no role.Why? Then have no parlaiment at all.Use Dictataorship sysytem and be happy.I think any funds beyond Rs.100 ( One hundred Crores msut be passed by atleast 2/3 majority and if not oakyed like this they cannot be spent.You would soon see the India in a growing mode and also Corruption would be gone.Let Lok Sabha take the lead.Jai Hind.
