This AADHAR card system is close to Social Security No. on US. However, it won't prove as a single MASTER CARD for all the transactions in India. It will be just an addition to VotersID, PAN Card, Driving Licence.....
Moreover, getting an AADHAR card is cumbersome. One has to approach the concerned Municipal Ward office and stand in que from 7 am in the morning & only 40-50 appliactions are processed per day! Even ladies & Sr.Citizens are not spared from this formality. How can the govt. manage to issue this matter if the population is over 125 crores !!!!!!

There should be a secular card. It will be green in colour. There will be no photos...as image of any person is taboo in the most holy and secular book. There will be only two numbers- 786 on one side and 420 on the rear side.
The name of the secular card holder will be written in the most secular language ie right to left.
All persons living in Pakistan and Bangladesh are secularists. Hence they are eligible to possess this card. All the secularists of India will also have this secular card.
Any person who holds this secular card will immediately get the right to vote, the first right to all the natural resources, right to bank loans which need not be repayed, right to gas connection, telephone connection, right to admission in all educational institutions including premier institutions like IITs, IIMs, IIIt, AIIMS, JIPMER, IISc etc.
The rest of the people - the mango people who belong to the cattle class are all communalists. They are supposed to have NIRAADHAAR cards.
They will be given admission to a college if a secular card holder doesn't need it.
They will have to pay 90% tax. In all public transport, they can sit or get a ticket only if a secular card holder does not want.
All the NIRAADHAAR card holders should hang it around their neck when they go around in the secular country which strictly enforces the secular principles as laid down by its founder - the beloved Bapuji.

What I found is that there are so many identyti proofs like PAN card, Passport,Rationcard,Some may have Domicile certificate etc. All these identity cards are issued by appropriate government authorities. But while issuing them many of fake cards issued as corruption is the main crteria while issuing it. So for any reason when if one has to give address proof or photo identity one single proof is not valid like passport only or PAn card only. They always needs 2 proofs one for photo and one for address. Now if a person has passport then why it is necessary to have any other proof? But government authorities only are not able to believe on single identity because they know that out of two, one might be fake or duplicate. Even while taking Aadhar UID they have asked for 2 identities. So again adhar might be based on one of the duplicate information. Today also many places Aadhar is not taken as proof of identity/residencs. According to me as government has declare aadhar to link with bank account for transffering all the subsidies directly to bank account, this will also help political parties to transffer the money directly to voters bank account which they are normally distribute during elections what we read in the newspapers and TV news. In this way they can transffer the money to voters account under some subsidy to purchase the voters. Thats all...

Unique Identity has received lot of hype/when no claeity seems to be there on aadhar card,the mystery however surrounds it's purpose.For residents there are N numbery of ways to identify.Aadhar is another for identity.It's number serves purpose or not is a very ambiguous issue.May be it is like a Voter ID card and can be used even for other purposes.
The Card itself says that it is an ID Proof. Ofcourse, it has a UID Number on it, which is the "primary key" in a comprehensive database about the people of India. Let the cabinet themselves get educated about the benefits and drawbacks of such an exercise and not unnecessarily waste money in repeating such large scale exercise time and again under different departments. Let them unify all other information under this one UID.
The Aadhaar Card contains following information; the citizen's full name in Devnagri as well as English letters, Birth year, Gender, his or her photograph, the UID number in numeric and some bar code information. The finger prints and eye scan is stored in the computer. This is to verify the person's identity. This information can be used by the govt for various purposes. The cabinet ministers seem to be unaware of the purposes !!
Look at the Confusion : Aadhaar is suppose to be number, but Railway calls in its 16th Jan'2013 public notice for proof of ID as Aadhaar Card for Train Journey. Now how is that Aadhaar will be validated if its number to make / prooof identity, that means you need good broad band network to validate the number online every time. So Aadhaar is going to be joke and its not mandatory for any of the things and worst logic is Aadhaar will store all info of other proof, but other proofs like Voters card, PAN Card, Passport, DL will not get linked on their own. So less we talk, its better on Aadhaar
