Rape in India
by Ved Anarish on Jan 10, 2013 05:06 PM

Any discussion about safety against rape of Indian women, in my opinion, is absolutely futile.
Entire India - as geopolitical identity - is and has been under continuous rape since 1100 AD. Initial 800 years has been blamed on lecherous invaders (majority of whose remnants are now a day’s being identified as 'seculars').
In current dispensation - perpetual rape is being carried out by ruling criminals -variously termed as Politicians, Babus, Police, Media etc. They have the guns and access to loot. Public by its passive tolerance, forced to practice, during the past 1000 years - has become subhuman and accepts anything.
Some folks like CAG, Anna H, Khejriwal etc try to make vocal protest time to time - but alert media / politico combine, establishes in no time that the protest is a joke or motivated – whatever that means.
If and only when rape of India will stop - rape of Indian woman will end.

Collective intellect of Indian opinion makers is of a teenager
by gsm on Jan 10, 2013 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

After reading and watching Indian intellectuals and politicians for about a month,I have come to the above conclusion.

The collective intellect of Indian opinion makers of today is fi'ery,im'mature, simplistic, impressionable and exciting.

Indian opinion makers will mature in about 15 years, but for that we need a very fast internet availability throughout, open media and more Indians going abroad for study/work and coming back to India.

Very mature viewpoint. I kind-of agree.

Good article
by Face Dude on Jan 10, 2013 05:00 PM

I think the message is clear, though most may find it difficult to digest the directness of the article. Its imperative that average indian men stop looking at woman as object of curiousity, They should get familiar with the fact that woman is a normal human being as he. The more man gets comfortable being with woman (this happens only when society allows free interaction of men and women) the more he understands and relates to the realities of life. He will cease to stereotype and may not be inclined to engage in hurtful things like rapes etc.

Good attempt.
