then why all these years more privileges were provided by govt. of india? why special treatment only to us? because we feel they are superior to us.and we feel inferior ourself. inspite of so many incidents like frisking our ex- president mr.kalam and other central ministers india did not react the way it is reacting now.WHY? it appears some thing fishy on part of govt. of india. or it may be due to political compulsions as expressed by some quarters . the. govt. of india is over reacting as general elections are ahead to tell people that we here to act.
India is reacting just because Devyani is a Diplomat. There are thousands of ordinary Devyanis (working class) in US who are humiliated, molested, stripped, cavity checked day in and day out by US authority. The working class Indians constantly live in fear just for the sake of they are in the US working. I mean the prestige issue. Does this fact ever brought to light by the Indian authorities? I have my doubts. Just because media is supporting Devyani there is this huge hue and cry. My argument is that the same reaction should follow if an ordinary Devyani is treated badly by the world police.
WHY INDIA PROVIDED THE FACILITIES TO American diplomats, visiting dignitaries and the American ambassador IN INDIA WHEN THE IS NOT RECIPROCATED.IT SHOWS THAT WE ARE STILL AFRAID OF WHITE SKIN.
At last, the UPA Govt. opened its eyes. Thanks to the upcoming General Election round the corner. We are yet to hear a comment from the Top Leadership in our country. Happy that the country is in one voice in cases like this which have the Que from NIRBHAYA's case. India shouldn't soft peddle this issue anymore. I am of the opinion that they (U.S) should be returned in the same coin. The action should be such that not only the U.S but also the countries where we have our consulate should think thousand times before venturing into such actions.
