If the Domestic help was wrong, why were her husband and child taken into custody in India? What were the offenses committed by them?

Their offense was being married and the child of a woman who dared to defy the offspring of Mafia party member!

Congress Party is a mafia party!

This incident is a proof of this fact!

In US also average salary of diplomat started $30,000 per year, and the pay structure is similar to that in other government organizations. Senior foreign service officials can make over $100,000 per year.Being a foreign service officer is not for everyone. When some US diplomat engaged to be married, he resigned from the foreign service. The life of an officer can be difficult for families. "My fiancée is an attorney and can't practice overseas, average diplomat have to move every three to four years, it would be an incredible burden, if your lifestyle is flexible, and if you want to travel the world, experience new cultures, and serve your country, consider a career in the foreign service.

Don't assume everybody wants to do what you want to do!

We can't blame you for wanting to be a maid servant!

Our PM is a maid servant of his party and queen!

This is the role model Indian people have these days!

What can they do!

Just goes to show you the real worth of a PhD. degree earned from a Indian university!

Whose side Govt of India should be?
by phani sai on Dec 17, 2013 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

Govt of India should take neutral stand on this issue as both the parties are Indians. Media is taking the side devyani which is not acceptable, they are showing only one of the story.

Does USA ever take neutral stand when their or their citizen's interest matters? Why should Indian govt be neutral?

...from crooked Indian diplomats and politicians it is clear she has been wining and dining them well during their visits to the US ..probably more services also.

She should be sacked from her post and prosecuted quickly.

Why the maids family was hounded in India also needs investigation

What happened to the maid and her family is an example of mafia tactics used by a mafia party like Congress Party!

It is all Cosa Nostra as Queen Sonja would say!

Bad diplomacy
by Viren on Dec 17, 2013 02:51 PM

At the outset, it seems that Indian Diplomat used her status unjustifiably to first deny proper wages to her maid, then instituting a false case upon her in India and now crying wolf in USA where laws are equal for all. Govt. Of India by retaliating is further vitiating the relationships with US. They should had transferred the lady diplomat as soon as the case came to the notice.
