Castrate the next rapist/s with in 10 minutes after catching and publicize the news. This will make a person shiver in thinking about rape

Only strict punishment is not going to deter potential rapists. Preventive measures that complement strict laws, effective policing and swift action to pusnish the rapists are necesssary.

Questions from author
by Santa on Aug 23, 2013 02:38 PM  | Hide replies

What is going on? How can an amazing country like India face such highs and lows? Where do these brutes come from?

I can only feel sorry for this author, by reading these questions. Looks like the author has been living in a cave all these days or trying to pretend that we live in a Utopia. Dear author - Please come out of your dreamland. Irrespective of the country we live in, every country has good and bad people. I know that rape is a horrible crime, but rapes do happen in every country. In fact, look at top 10 countries with highest number of rapes - USA, India, UK, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Belgium, Thailand. Rapes per 1000 population are also highest among some of the developed countries such as South Africa, Sweden, UK, Australia, among other less developed countries. So, it's just not a problem that our country is facing, It's a universal problem. Only difference is that in our country, only poor guys get caught and punished. The rich ones and politicians easily escape the punishment.

So, Santa, you mean to say that we should be proud to be counted within top 10 countries? Should we keep our silence on RAPE, as you sail it happens in every country?

Aah,so were mentioning the other way. Anyways the country has lost faith of humanity save some rogues and of course politicians. Anyway nothing better is expected from convicted criminal law makers.

What is the punishment?
by Anand YNI on Aug 23, 2013 02:13 PM

Amongst others like life imprisonment, we should seriously consider archaic laws (as a special case for the rapists) like castration and amputation of the organ, in which case, the rapist will lose his libido and will be tamed for ever.

Any comments?

Stop treating Women as OBject
by Satish Kumar on Aug 23, 2013 02:10 PM  | Hide replies

Stop treating Women as Object. These things needs to be taught from childhood. But the society in which a child grows teach him as male being superior and the female as inferior(directly or indirectly). what will be outcome of such children when they grows. We think they just became a rapist overnight. it's something to do what was fed to his mind(as seed) and as days goes on considering female as object grew in them deep-rooted and became like a tree. In such cases it has to be cut-down as they won't have any regret for what they did.

Think if good thinking about others has been taught from childhood what will happen.

Men and women are different but that doesn't qualify who is superior or inferior. This world needs people who are different. If everyone has to be same them one man/woman is enough for this world why so-many.

the child & young Mind needs to saved from being polluted.

It's not only applicable for rape crime. Think of the outlaw motor cycle gangs which grew in recent days. If v look in 2 their past something was there which corrupted their mind, It could be video games,or movies.

the parents who have children(boys and girls) please make sure what is being taught to u kids apart from school subjects. Discipline them which will weigh few grams or else you and they may have to regret which will weigh tons.

You cannot change the dominating behavioral characteristics of humans . Men would like to think they are superior as women would like to think they are smarter, can multitask, handle things better . What you can change and as.you pointed out is treat girl child as equal to a boy . Just as a boy would be in the decision making process when he grows up, involve girl too. I hate to say this , but in north India , the girl child is made to feel unwanted , boys are preferred on birth. Girls are raised in an environment where thy feel their use is limited to home matters and not away. Girls will imprint that bckground . Boys naturally tend to feel they have a free licence as they are more important.

To the person holding up a sign saying "It could have been my daughter". The culprit could equally well have been your son.

talk sense, don't talk nonsense. it is people like you without any eyes & senses who comment arbitrarily without understanding the motive & the gravity of an issue. i hope better sense prevails next time otherwise mental asylums are always open for you.

Are you criticising this peron for holding the sign. MY view is that, even if it is my son, the punishment should not be less than death for such goons (I mean my son)
