Hang a few of them in public without mercy and they will fall in line . They will think twice before pulling their pants down even in the bathroom

that rediff and indi*tim*s homepages have suddenly retrained from showing news with lusty photoes of poonam pandeys, sunny leons other similar characters alike....? weird but a true observation...May be they want to avoid receiving brick bats.

Good observation. I had earlier tried posting a message about how rediff, india times, etc show such photos but rediff filtered it out because it had the word p@rn star

This time no candle march, no any other dramebazi....we just demand immediate justice to the girl by hanging/shooting the rapist at once. The concerned ministers should be asked on every forum about the progress of the case until justice is done

Not supporting the horrific rape. But these Candilwala's who come out in protest and support will stand as mute spectators when the gruesome act is happening and will either vote for this corrupt, incompetent govt OR enjoy a vacation picnic on election day. Sad.

Are you trying to say that there will be no rapes in a BJP led India?
No my friend.........what is required is a change in mentality......

We need to reduce our tolerance.......our tolerance to wrongs happening around us.......

The moment we reduce our tolerance to wrong doings, our country will improve for the better......

My very first statement is condemnation of this horrific act. Your second point about rapes happening during BJP period as well is true, but the leadership did not pass any ridiculious remarks against the victim given by Diggy, Manish Tiwari, Azam Khan, Home minister Shinde and the silence of Mounibaba is very loud and deafning. Amulbaba is busy with his jijaji and sister enjoying vacation in Italy. I agree with your third point that we need to change the mentality and obviously our current education system, moral degradation of society, blindly aping west culture is root cause of these rapes and failure of our society.

There must be some censorship of the uncouth Bollywood dance, interviews of pornstars as main stream, have the adult site filter at the 6 submarine landing station (just like in China); it darn well be curtailed. Sop Mithun Chakraborty of the world on uncouth seductive dance with 12 years old - stop the bollywood item number stuff (my 10 years old daughter closes her eyes when she sees this stuff in indian restaurant in San Francisco) - no where she feels that - we lost the sense of decency - stop the morons like katrina Poonom of the world - outcast them ; can anyone do at least some of these - if you do the thing which has become frankenstein in the last 10 years can be significantly curtailed.

parents fail to guide their children in the right path, they are not models of good behaviour. Politicians are criminals in disguise and get away with murder and rape. the misguided youth watching films with murders, fights, rape, feel it is OK to harm a girl. Look at yesterday Mumbai: the men were so cowardly that they needed four to rape a woman! What's wrong
by VENKATESH radhakrishnan on Aug 23, 2013 05:42 PM

always felt Mumbai is the safest place for women and used to tell my friends down South that at Mumbai ladies can return safely at midnight after completing their duties. All of us have to introspect. Rapists should be dealt severely in a fasttrack court. If there are no Judiciary available, eminent persons should be formed into a council and given judicial powers for such cases.
