I totally support her and she has given first time the diagnosis which every one has failed to do even professionals and government.Look at Iceland were there is no patriarchal exploitation as women outnumber the story is that women chase men.The problem lies in Police indifference as rightly stated by her and the existing work culture of 'Chalta Hai' that I condemned in my book Eastern and Cross cultural Management(Springer).Had Police not adopted this attitude both gang rapes could have been prevented. Notlaw but enforcement has to be good

It is government who is responsible for the condition of country...If rape is happening because of patrical system then why do we have govt...If govt is criminal and corrupt and people vote for such forces then what kind of security do you accept....Patrical pr matrical system..rape will happen if there are sick minded people supported by vulgur and corrupt media...Public security is must...that is job of govt...not about BS talk about patriarchal or matriarchal society...
There r many reasons behind increased incidents of rape, incl psychological. Moral values of society hv gone down. I suggest that there shd b prohibition all over the country. Most rapes & many other crimes / accidents occur under the influence of alcohol. Moreover now-a-days girls hv started wearing dresses with more and more exposure of body, and very tight dresses. This shd b discontinued. What is its need? Rapists shd also b punished without delay. It is unfortunate that even after 5 minutes, the rapists of Daminni in Delhi hv not yet bn punished

Govt inefficiency, lack of sensitivity for society pain, Monarch mindset of Congress party, dumb opposition party, dumber voters who sell their vote ...are the main cause of rape and stress ....
Rapes will stop.. Girls Ratio Will Increase... Crime will Go Down...
Only
If Judiciary starts punishing these bas****S Soon... If Media and its people start highlighting the punishment part more than glamorising these crimes.

Why not reduce the age of consentMarriage be 6 and age of consentSex be 9 years? Shouldnt we be following the "greatest man to have ever lived (in 7th century)" who is the perfect example for the whole of mankind to follow?
Root cause of increase in rapes are socio-economic imbalance in the country. Last twenty years of globalization , liberalization and so called economic reforms has created this imbalance in Indian Society. Low income group youths are highly frustrated due to poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and backwardness. It is forming a social atom bomb in the country, we have to adopt an inclusive economic growth policy to minimize social tension particularly in youths.
Hire 5 hommosexxualNigggers with 20 inchCoccks and let them loose on everyRapist 3 times everyday (AFTER breakfast, lunch and dinner so that humanRightsActivists don't complain about emptyStomach of theRapist) for a GRAND REAR-END-ENTRY!!
After an year or so, theRapist would then have to tie a bucket under his by now enlarged footballSizeAnus whenever he wants to answer the natureCall!!

This will not prevent rape..this is punishment ..to prevent rape, public security must be increased...number of women police must increase and trained..Govt must stop looting and focus on society
K. Krishnan seems to have got her analysis wrong. Rape continues largely due to lack of law & order and lack of swift judgement. If these can be address, a lot of law & order issues can be addressed. Its important not to improse our personal views on the societly. Kavita's replies have a touch of male bigotry.

Actually Ms. Kavita is right. US has a much better record of punishing criminals than india...yet rape is rampant in US too.
fact of the matter is rape is a form of violence - sexual violence against women. Rapists hate women. And, they pick the most easy target....so nothing to do with dressing sense.

May be but she is forthright and correct in her diagnosis. Most important being the poor enforcement of law by Police
It is about lawlessness and lack of fear of any punishment for the worst of crimes. It is about a failed legal system which worries about not punishing one innocent in return for freeing a thousand guilty, than safety and security of common citizens.
Indians have started gaining easy access to porn suddenly due to Mobile revolution. And Indian society is not so open in that sense hence in the beginning this is bound to happen. Once this become day to day business it will go down. For e.g. in western countries no one even stares at women wearing revealing dress. The openness in their country was gradually and not suddenly.
