before deciding on whether modi is wrong or right, the full points regarding this bill has to come out so that people should understand what he did is justified or not. at the face value, it projects as if modi has vested powers within himself. but one should dig deep into this law to learn more about it.

just for information.

The amended bill, proposes to give all the powers of the appointment to a selection committee, consisting group of ministers from the ruling party, the Speaker as also the Leader of Opposition. Incase, the Leader of Opposition declines to be a Member, he can recommend any member of his party or others from the Opposition, to chair the Group of Ministers, committee. The decision taken, can be challenged in the HC through a Bench consisting the CJ and not to be decided by the CJ of HC, alone.

Its known fact, as per constitution, the President and Governors of India's powers are restricted and play a role of Emergency Lamp. Their Unilateral decision on any issues cannot be accepted and can be challenged in the SC. They are to abide by the decision of the Parliament and the Legislature.

Further, its well known fact, that all judges and CJs are appointed by the Centre and not by State and they definitely have an affinity with the ruling party at Centre in sensitive decisions. Glaring present day example is Markandeya Katju, NHRC chairman, a retired senior SC judge, who keeps blabbering regularly and the latest being seeking pardon for Sanjay Dutt on SC's ruling.

Could you just refer to print media - a news paper, for example? It costs Rs 3 only.

As per this bill, It is Collegium which is appointing the Lokayukta. which includes the CM, the Opposition leader and Chief Justice. By this way the independence of Lokayukta is assured.

What is wrong with this ?

the power of appointing loksabhayukth can be only with the LEADER of Country who thinks of contry as whole and not small state leader. It is right of Soniaji to appoint an honest person for this post, once she is back proper action will be taken to teach mody a lession

True of false , for Muslims

When in Minority , claim to be secular and democratic , like India and Europe

When in Majority , Declare islamic state and finish off the kaffirs , like Pakistan, Kashmir and Bangladesh ..

Not just ammunition. They have just given 2014 to Congress on a platter. I wish Modi and BJP take more and more rabid stance in the coming days and use their foulest possible language in public discourse.

Narendra Modi comes across as an honest and sincere leader ,
by Vikas Jindal on Apr 03, 2013 11:06 AM

Who really has a desire to see the country as one of the most powerful nations in the world.

A leader , who looks to mobilise the youth, make them take pride in their work and motivate them to work for the nation.

A leader , who feels that empowerment of women augurs the real growth of the nation.

In his talks I felt that he believes in working with conviction that if there is a will there is a way. He carries no family baggage to lure him away from his mission.

For the first time I see a leader who not only talks good things but has actually shown what it means to work for the people he represents. Progress and development in Gujarat speaks for itself.

A leader who has given real meaning to the word democracy by not only being elected by the people but actually working for the people

. A rare quality seen in today's politician.

Governors in our country are just hired congressi agents and highly bised. They have failed to perform their constitutional duties. They are overhead on public money. Sooner this position is removed will be better for country.

He is Narendra Modi
by Aditya Yadav on Apr 03, 2013 10:58 AM  | Hide replies

Narendra Modi has shown his true self. Nothing new. He has shown his arrogance many a time in the past. Character of Narendra Modi reminds me ironically of Josef Stalin of the erstwhile USSR.
Stalin was too arrogant and intolerant to any differing views and rebel voices in his party or in the country. He has murdered many opponents, sent many to Siberia or into exile to strengthen his position in politburo. Lyonsky was one of the well known intellectuals in USSR who was later killed in Mexico for venting his views against STALIN.
Modi must have been inspired by Stalin; not by Swami Vivekananda as he claims. His pseudo nationalism and farce Hindutva are very clear to the masses.
Mark my words.

Do you even know what is there in this bill? It is almost inline with the Lokpal bill which Congress government has proposed. On top of that, even chief minister will come under Lokayukta. Remember how congress opposes to bring PM under Lokpal? Also compare this bill against the one in Delhi.
