If BJP has decided to object it, then come forward with all sorts of lame excuses and oppose it. I guess the main reason for this is most of the BJP is mostly funded by these large number of BANYAS across the country and it is their responsibility to oppose this.
Now, let us look at the Retail shops functionality. Normally, these shops are likely to be set up in major cities where they get revenues and is likely to be meager in number. Suppose one shop is set up in Delhi, say Vasant Vihar, nobody is going to come for shopping there from noida, mayur vihar, etc. etc. so, the shops all shops other than the shops adjacent to Retail shop will continue to get its business. Now, so far as the small shops around the Retail chain shop are concerned, normally people go to such Mall/Retail shop for large scale purchases only. So, even if somebody wants some items in small quantity, they will continue to depend on small shops. So, the logic of closing down all the small shops in India just because 10 or 15 Retail Shops established cannot be justified. The small shop owners also need not worry as they are unlikely to be affected.
Secondly, we get quality products. At least even now, if we go to large retail chain shops like Spencers, More, Big Bazaar, the items packed and supplied from there are far better in quality than the items being sold in small shops (may be because they canot afford to such quality control). But the fact is that we pay similar price for a substandard

Further, we see a large quantity of food products are getting rotten in India. The government's storage facilities are very poor. We have been wasting a large quantity of food grains, vegetables, fruits, etc. due to lack of storage. If such large scale Retail chain comes forward and buy food grains, vegetables, etc., for selling through their chains, such wastage can be avoided.
Above all, in India, people do business but they hardly care for customer satisfaction, providing quality products and services, after sales service, etc. and this is a fact. They do not hesitate to provide adulterated food items (knowing that it will harm the people), rotten vegetables and fruits, milk items, etc., etc. and what not. So, even if some of such shops are closed, it will do more good than harm to the society.
BJP all you have been doing is 'oppose'..............and in the process have made it clear that you are not for progress...........we have to be romans in rome.............the global patterns of society and living cannot be ignored completely, though understood that they need to be 'tempered' to suit us............in this area there is hardly anything as 'worth' coming from your side...............what is wrong in majority becoming sales boys and girls..............??? instead of languishing in poverty .........atleast their next generation will be able to make a start in life............

A person with a talent to do business on his own and who can earn 1 lac a month and give tax to govt and will spend his profits in india in property or any thing else. will have to work for this mnc for just quater of the money, anyways he will be happy as there will be no headace of filing returns manage sales tax and all the govt officials, but the profits will be not invested in india, they will go back to the Foreigner who will bring more FDI..
who's at loss. India or MNC's
They are business men's not social service centers. Think hard before you support FDI, a small mistake now can make us full slaves to once again (partially still we are slaves of this money strong MNC's due to culprit politicians)

All our money is in the pocket of the Netas.............we are in a way bankrupt and so will need some other country to put their money and rightly so they will want to guard it............
Opposition parties should decide what is the issue.. If infletion is the issue then that can be controlled by this. There will be plenty of jobs for people in India. And as long as Indian manufacturing sector compete with rest of the world they will survive. And they have to compete, GOVT should not protect them like they have been doing from last 60 years and still doing in energy sector.

UPA is bent on lies. While BJP is just talk. Lie about More jobs>> It is known the A will loose jobs and sycophants B will get those jobs and media will say more jobs. nobody will say, A lost jobs. Lower price >> Only for short term till competition is damaged badly. Free _sexx>> they were going to sell that story as well. But someone stopped them.
BJP is a party supported mainly by small shopkeepers and are mot worried about organized retail. The small shopkeepers are the ones who do not pay income tax and steal sales tax while living in luxury running a parallel economy of black money. They will be most hurt by organized retail as organized retail cannot avoid Income tx or sales tax. BJP has lost a tremendous opprtunity of coming back to power in the situation created by paralysis of Manmohan Singh government.

Can BJP tell any solution how to create jobs for 1.3 billion people.BJP can hire more people for agitations, burning buses, blocking roads for creation havoc in country.

There is history written when BJP ruled the country for the first time. When the Pokran nulcliar test conducted, the so called Universal Police USA and its allies imposed sanction on India, every one in India shed crocadile tears about FDI inflows. In spite of this India has shown development. Because of the golden quatrangle Scheme, employment is generated. Bring the inter-linking of river water as proposed by the BJP Govt. then see the Mother India how develops and gives her son of soil what they want. Bring all the money shiffoned through the CWG, 2G, coal scam and complete the interlinking of river water, then watch how India is prosperousing. See the economic development then.
