a fearless warrior, I'll take atleast ten people with me, the ones I don't like. She was a coward. So Sirinivason don't try to give a postive spin to a cowardly act.

very good. then you must be a big fan of the 26/11 terrorists, the 9/11 suicide bombers, the guys who dropped the atomic bomb on hiroshima, etc. fine examples of fearlessness according to you. your principles are very clear.

I have long missed her columns. She burned with a passion to illuminate the darkness and despair spread by Indian pseuds of all types. She was a spectacular heroine - a champion of India.
Those who didn't know of her columns will never know this, but she fought for a future worth living for all Indians. A future worth fighting for.
Goodbye, Varsha. And thank you for your writings, which will live for a very long time.

Santa

It's very unfortunate that many educated people consider that spitting venom against a particular community is patriotism. Many writers try and exploit this mindset of people, to become popular overnight.

What is really unfortunate is that people like you ("santa") do not have the decency to desist from speaking ill of the dead.
Shame on you and all you represent.

Varsha was courageous to ask people like Santa who are not only silent against religious radicalism but also go ahead and fight back in support of radicalism.
Blind Indian media never recognized her as true journalist.
I find Varsha as a one-of-a-kind fearless patriotic journalist with research and conviction. She produced well supported critic of the government policies. As reformist, she openly questioned some religious and social practices that she found in violation to basic human rights. She was bold in exposing religious community’s silence against radicalism. Unfortunately, some misguided egoist people like Santa expressed strong protests.
I theorize that considering current affair of Indian English Media journalism, her courageous brand of journalism has no chance to make a living. Since there may not be any takers of her courageous professional journalist services, it may be difficult shock to and depressing for such an energetic soul.
I wish, people who feel offended by her writings will search their inner soul and agree with her overall bold effort to fight for basic human rights.

May her soul rest in peace.

it is particularly unfortunate that people of a particular community that excel at crimes against humanity like slavery, apartheid, the Jewish holocaust etc, the rwandan genocide, etc. feel free to lecture others. have they no shame?

Unfortunately she has taken an extreme step. Being a fearless warrior, she should have faced the life amidst all roughness or harshness instead of making her mother sink in sadness at her elderly age.
