she was a great writer,I really admired her during the years from 1999 to 2001. i wish her peace wherever the afterlife may take her. Some people talk abot fighter and then why suicide, but clinical depression is indeed something that is difficult to handle. So I dont question that she was a brave woman.
I grew up a patriot reading her columns in Rediff and not to forget Mr Rajeev Srinivasan's too. I later read somewhere the tenor of Rediff had changed so Varsha could not or was not allowed to write here. Also I found that Mr. Rajeev Srinivasan's columns too has dwindled these days.
Rediff had become more secular these days. May be it wanted to become an eminent citizen too.

Some of the most fearless Japanese warriors used to commit suicide by falling on their sword. This has to do with the mind and not a fear of life.

She had a botched up surgery on spine which gave her horrendous pain. Try going through that once and then talk.
