It is sad he looks not like a General but one who is desperately looking for a public forum post retirement by raising so many issues on which he was sleeping till the eve of his reiremnt. He need not but Some one else will have to act now
Re: Re: Paid Article... He is honest & upright man.
by K Mohanan on May 29, 2012 02:21 PM
He wanted to change his date of birth at the time of his retirement. He should have asked the Government to grant him one years salary by sitting idle at his home rather than dragging the Government to Court for his own fault.
Re: Re: Re: Paid Article... He is honest & upright man.
by Deepak Goswami on May 29, 2012 02:59 PM
One year salary was not enough. He told how much he can earn from every single deal. His hard luck that our Defense minister is a decent personality :)

People like you are either ignorant or pretend to be ignorant for vested reasons. General's father and grand fathers' were officers in Army and as per forces rule all birth/deatht with the family are recorded. Now, if this banana republic of ours goofs up then why to blame him. Why did the Amry let him record 1951 as his dob in NDA entrance exam?

So you say the Judges in supreme court is ignorant decide about writ even about a simple DOB case?
Gen Singh was guttsy enough to be open about the issues and highlighted and braught them out in open.....when we indian will learn to face the truth,,,and stop beliving everything in honky-dory.....
Re: Honest man
by K Mohanan on May 29, 2012 02:05 PM
Yes. Definitely he has guts. An Army Chief who does not know his Date of Birth and wants to change his DoB at the fag end of his career.

by Frodo Baggins on May 29, 2012 02:06 PM
I agree he was really open enough to inform pakistan through our media about how useless our airdefences were how we have run out of tank shells , amunition how are night fighting capabalities are nil....really open guy ...would have appreciated if he was a pakistani general.
Re: Honest man
by K Mohanan on May 29, 2012 02:06 PM
Yes. He is gutsy but poor fellor, he is not sure about his Date of Birth and had to go to Court to ascertain his DoB!
Re: Re: Honest man
by dev singh on May 29, 2012 02:52 PM
He forgot that he lives in a banana republic and so called one of the best army in the world maintains different records. When he passed out from NDA he was considered young (DOB 1951) and the moment he was promoted to the COS ( he was considered old) as the person next in line has good connection. (Read uncle as hon'ble PM).

This is another example of paid journalism. After seeing, this type of articles, only thing you can say .....f**king wh0res. They will do anything for money. Generals term is tainted as he exposed the nexus between politicians and corrupt officers and acted against the tainted officers.

India started purchasing Tatra Trucks from the time of United front Government under IK Gujral,Was BJP sleeping when the ruled for 6 years? Just like the y slept over Black Money,Bofors,Lokpal etc etc?

the bjp loves to talk about governance only when they are in opposition ...which to be fair to them is eternal

This is what divides us all. We as a society don't have zero tolerance for corruption and BJP, Congress and others all are hand in gloves. For you congress corruption is better than BJP's but people like us corruption is corrption.
Wonder how much the corrupt politicians and babus spent to defame Army chief through Media. Lots of so called journalist will do anything to make some money ignoring media ethics and journalistic duty.
Looks like Social Media driven by citizens is the only hope left to Indians. Atleast paid journalist should leave the social media to citizen. Let them write/talk biased articles in their print and Televisions media.
Re: Re: Re: Biased Article
by dev singh on May 29, 2012 02:45 PM
He made the amry laughing stock by exposing the corruption and painting the ill state of affairs in army. What did Makmohan's govt. do? They leaked his letter? As a matter of fact, we as a society are corrupt and that's why A. Raja, Jayalalita, Lallu, Mayavati are elected. So people like V.K Singh should learn to blow with the wind.

General V. K. Singh, should seek the people's mandate. He should contest elections.
Remember, all courts are man made, at the end of the day, we are all accountable to all of us, to society, whether civil or political. We already have a mechanism of electoral democracy and Gen. Singh should follow this process to continue his service to the nation.

Even if Army Chief contested with ticket from Jollu-Lallu Party, people will vote for him.
One thing is for sure...neck-deep corrupt Congress will not give him a ticket.

For you kind information, Sushma Swaraj refuse to meet General's wife. Afterall, they also need SGPC's support to win the election in Punjab and delhi.
For these politicians contry comes last. General should not join any political party. He can serve the nation in so many different ways.
