Well it is evident from our indian history that without General Maneksha India would not have been capable of winning 1971 Pakistan War and at last minute Indira Gandhi too kept power and did not let the army to proceed more than karachi...they called back.....which irked eyebrows of many leading politicians in india at that time......Congress has an attitude of suppressing the power of others ...they know how to reign over people and make them slave...am not anti-congress but indian history is witness of all these facts....even one can read the book written by Gen. Maneksa ....

Advocating to sack is an ill-conception
by Debasish Sarkar on Mar 30, 2012 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

the few MPs are clamouring for removal of Gen Vk singh, they are either novices or Brainiacs. They [those MPs] are trying play with fire. If the Govt.follow their[MPs] advises, then there will be a serious discontentment and possibility of Army revolt, that which could be precipitated?
my point is- till date, our Congress led Goverments had/have badly treated our Arm force. Congress/UPA administrations have taken Army as granted position, which will prove very costly for Congress/UPA in near future.
One example I like to site here- The CM of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah is trying hard to remove the special power of Arm force in Kashmir Valley. This move has created severe discontenment amongst Ary-Personnel.
My earnest request to current administration-"Don't Rock the Boat".

Why

why is what was said in the letter surprising?

It just shows what happens when a country hands over its sovereign executive power to a foreigner.

Congo party people are capable of doing anything to stay in power.

Democracy and Image

I cannot understand how image of the army is taking a beating when it is the civilian authority which controls the army. If at all it is for the civilian authority to explain the situation to the nation. Our politicians are fond of using the words 'democracy' and 'democratic' loosely.

Yes,organized corruption in India started with the Bofors Deal. That fountain head of corruption is still reigning supreme! There is no justification to sack the honest army Chief. It would oly prove to be a blot on the Govt if such a foolish thing is done.

When an opportunist like Sanjeev Bhatt speaks against Modi, the entire
UPA rushes to believe him and stand with him
When an honest officer like General V.K.Singh speaks in the interest of the
nation on issues of far grave concern,
the government puts a CBI inquiry, harasses him and denies any liability
whatsoever.
We are watching our motherland being robbed and plundered in front of our
eyes !
