government ban to put anna in the news channel they are scared..... this is democracy. People has no right to ask or say. Govt can as many scams they want.

Antony is the master of Rs. 4000/- crores sugar scam when he was Civil supplies minister in Narasimha Rao Ministery. How can you claim that this scamister / corrupt congress leader is clean?

Defence is a very important element for any Nation. Especially for a nation like India which has been invaded , plundered , enslaved for the last 1000 years. We lost crores of square kilometer of fertile land and millions of lives. The defence minister has to be intelligent , practical , visionary and a task master. While a person may be honest , but does honesty guarantee the other criteria ? No ,im afraid India is the only major nation where defence minister is a civilian. I feel an Armed Service person as a Defence minister or a civilian with a lot of proven capabilites should head defence ministry . This country lacks vision and people only worry when there is calamity or war. It is during peacetimes that we should prepare , so that we are not defeated during war.

Agree. Anthony may be cleaner than some of the other ministers but his tenure in various positions he has occupied has been uninspiring.He is not cut out to be a leader.The Chinese are marching ahead of us by leaps .What has Anthony done to give us confidence that we can take on two adversaries? All purchases of weapons,etc has been on hold and since Bofors,we have not purchased a good gun. Many in the defence are also as incompetant as the civilians who rule us.Anthony is there because of Sonia.

Really sorry to see this type of articles... We all know Antony.. which Defence Minister stood so clean before?? Rediff should change the headline of this article.. It's really a scam from Rediff!!
