My dear friend, those who are killed are not Indians. They are Americans by all means. They have denounced their Indian roots long back. This is the internal matter of America and we are just wasting our time over this issue.

If not for the dollars that the NRIs give back to India, dollar would go up to 100 Rs and petrol to 200 Rs and you people complaining like tornado would be back to bullock carts.

sarfarosh, not the protestors, chandra is talking about the killed. They are immigrants who have not settled in the US, of course some may not yet be US citizens. In any case, the killer is also dead, and the news has made headlines in the US, so you can expect swift action. Even if some Americans are closet racist, the law is all powerful and will deal with this issue fairly.
I do not agree with the burning of flags, people of foreign origin who either visit India or live here, are also victims of crimes, the law should take appropriate action under such circumstances.

Amuldongibaby - There are Black Sheep everywhere , in every religion, whether it be Sikhism , Christianity or any other. But please DO NOT GENERALISE on this. Everyone is not like you make it out to be. There is the majority who are noble in thought and deed and DO NOTHING wrong. It is a minority few who do the WRONG things and bring a bad name to that Religious community, at large !!!

by nitmohan on Aug 08, 2012 10:48 PM

A perceptible decline in ethics & religious culture is getting reflected in the eroding credibility of the Indian society.

Attempts to safeguard vested interests have led to politicization of these institutions.

The increasing political interference in the functioning of religions and presence of pliable excentrics have led to a situation that people are fastly loosing faith in the religious system.

worry too much about the reaction of America to the US flag burning in Delhi.

By all accounts - including how NBC, ABC and the American print media have reacted (or rather not reacted)- the Americans did not get to know about the flag burning at all!!

Visitors are cautioned that it is not safe to travel to US if wear a turban or have a long beard.

If had 6 americans been shot dead in India do you think US gov would have kept quite, they would have declared war on India by now.

It is not safe in America, whether you have a turban or not. You are white/black/yellow/brown, tall/short,xtian/moslem/hindu anything, you are in for a chance to be shot, what with 75% of homes having multiple guns at their home, and many homes having psychos, no need for gun license and so much racism and xenophobia practiced.
