Jef,
Looks like you have a very bad memory, can't you think about the brave Mumbai cops who have sacrificed their lives to save people around them when Kasab and his team were on killing spree. Could you be kind enough to respect Indian sentiments in this regard? No disrespect to Brian and others like him in this regard. But most of cops and servicemen DO sacrifice their lives for their nation and trust me every sacrifice means a lot in this regard.

Police and Army men in India do a lot of brave things that sadly goes unnoticed. In particular to your places where India is viewed in a stereotypical manner talking about dirt, corruption and blah blah.It is fed to you ppl from our own immigrants, from your media and other social sites. So please stop spewing venom.Agreed that Lt. Murphy did die bravely. But do not for a moment think if similar gun attcak would have happened that policepersonnal here will react differently.

I asked about the police and not the army.
Once again, how many out here would be willing to trust the lives and well-being of their precious ones in the hands of the Indian police?
Dude, many of my Sikh friends who suffered in November 1984 tell me that even the policemen were actively involved in the murder and looting. If this is the policeman in the nation's capital, I shudder to think what's going on in other parts of the country.
These policemen aren't from outer space. And my guess is that they made it to the police force after a selection process. God save India!

Vivek, could you be intelligent enough to not tag this discussion with Terrorists. Please don't forget that they are terrorists and they don't have a religion apart from religion. Come out of this mindset that all Muslims are terrorists. There might be terrorists from Islam, but other religions also have a fair share on this stuff. Can't you see that Mr. Page and this American Sikh guy being terrorists? Trust me, i am not a religious guy as i don't follow none of this crap of religion, heaven, hell stuff. Every religion is like a mother, it only tries to teach a human on how to behave in a society and nothing more than that. Think about Ten commandments and other things similar. If someone does something stupid out of it (claiming that they follow the true essence of religion, that's their narrow mindedness)

Many thanks Jef, looks like you are living in cloud nine in this regard. If everyone in US thinks the same, then i am afraid this massacre wouldn't have happened in the first place. Wish i could say that there is no racism on this earth mate.

USA and australia- no. 2 and 1 rascist country in the world! first stop ur hate crime, then u will not see such anger! try to accept the other relegeon people who r liberal and peaceful(unlike 1sslam) but if u r showering ur hate on productive, peaceful, vibrant sikh, u r the worst kind of person in the world! this crime was NeoNazi, why it was not acknowledged?

Saugato,
Could you be kind enough to control your anger on a Religion, do you think you are perfect enough to comment on something like a religion (I don't follow any to start with) but i do respect all religions on this earth as they are more like our mother, trying to teach us how to live on this earth and be happy with some constraints (as i do firmly believe that a human brain without constraints could lead us to nothing but chaos). Could you please kindly restrain yourself from commenting on other religions as it is not appropriate and there is no logic behind that apart from your sad experiences with few people who sadly can not see the big picture of being humans first

Sorry Jef, Looks like your comment has been deleted by the moderator. To be honest, i think you are not even an American to start with. Your Family name sounds quite Italian for me. Also, take it for granted, we Indians don't hate all Americans or white people, we only hate the racist lot of them as we know for sure that Racists exists everywhere and I would like to say that you are also included in that list. I guess that you are in India or have something to do with India in this regard. If you have true guts, reveal yourself first and then we can have a meaningful conversation in this regard.
Re: Re: Identify them!

My guess is, millions of Indians--decent, hard-working people--want to get out of India.
Thousands of Sikhs were murdered in November 1984. In broad daylight, right in the nation's capital! Hundreds were fire-balled!
The prime minister (Rajiv Gandhi) justified the mass murder and had likely sanctioned it as well. The men who led the mobs were voted by Indians to the nations parliament with handsome majorities. They even became ministers!
And 25 years later, the country's top diplomat had the gall to say that it couldn't be called genocide because "it lasted only three days."
Indians should really think about how they are being represented. Else, the word "India" will soon come to mean a pile of crap, like the word "Pakistan" means today.
The US is doing quite well. Please stay away from the US if you don't have the ability to differentiate between right and wrong.

No decent hardworking Indians want to come to US. In fact nowadays its difficult to get a bride if you are from US.

It is true. No self respecting Indian is interesting in coming to US. I have shunned it all through my life and even now not interested even for billion dollars.

there r a lot of country in this world and offering good job as we have the talent, and if u hgave talent, there is no dirth of visa and job, so WTF of usa visa?
Our guys are killed for no reasons and if you are so selfish, rot in US as rest of the guys. What right have you got to call these protesters who haven't killed any americans in the process. If you want to live in US, go ahead and live there for rest of your rotten life (we don't have any feelings for you anyway). Trust me, you haven't got a bit of Indianness in you as you have cowardly went and settled there. You have NO moral right to comment on Indians anymore. For us, you are no different than the guy who cowardly killed innocents.

well said Mr. Parker, these things are related to vote-bank politics quite similar to US on migrants. This shows that politicians are same across the world :-)
