Koodankulam-Church Involvement
by iype george on Nov 10, 2011 10:11 PM  | Hide replies

It is not only in Koodankulam, they have been active against power plants at various locations in tamilnadu.

Let the Priests run the church and keep off from such activities. They have been filing petitions at various tribunals. Inciting the local fishermen folks.
Let them keep themselves to the church and use the money for upliftment of the poor , instead of paying to politicians.

In case these people are attacked the next time, even the christians will not support these priests.

Why?

This is what the article says:

*When this correspondent asked Fr Jaikumar about his support for the protestors, he said, "I have to support whatever my flock desires."

However, most people feel that it is the other way round. For instance, the fishermen are protesting the plant because they say the parish priest has asked them to do so.*

This pretty much sums up jayakumars and udaykumars intellectual capability and the people like you that supports them blindly

Ever wondered how these fishermen are surviving without going to fish, but spending their time in protests? To my knowledge, fishing in India is not a luxurious job and fishermen are seldom rich enough to take care of themselves and their family without actually going to fish.

Protesters may not be that many so why don't you do a religion wise breakdown of protesters and the people in the places where the the protesters are from to see if dispropotionate participation from church?

Why would US or France fuel protests against nuclear plants when they themselves are
are lobbying hard for selling more nuclear reactors to India.

If Koodankulam fails, will not US and France be affected too?.

It is because Kudankulum is a plant built with Russian assistance. Is it too difficult to grasp?
