Per Praful.. India should only play kabbaddi

Every sport has its pros and cons.. but neverthekess its a sport and people get addicted and passionate about it.. your thoughts here are very narrow and tough to understand rediff allowing your article to be published.. there are thousands who dislike cricket, football, that doesnt mean those sports are not great... why doesnt the employment generated by this circuit in India feature in you article, technology always helps.. its a age old thought that technology will kill employment... history is there to prove it otherwise... and all said and done you would have used your laptop and internet to wrtite this article which again is technology.. dont forget many new car safety and dynamics and technology of the engines and material used are later on feature on commercial cars and we all boast of it ....

If you think you need no physical strength to do F1..try the kind of G Force the drivers has to undergo. If your mind and body doesn't work as fast as your vehicle, you are dead meat. Many technological improvements in your family car is the result of these races. Also there are quite a few people around the world who enjoy this sports just like cricket or soccer. This is one sports whic gives you an adrenalin rush!

Tough i am avid fan of F1 and great admirer of late Aryton Sena i do agree to authors views about consumption led growth id say inflation led growth which will be slowed down. Providing subsidized fuel for the even was a joke when subsidies for the farmers cant be provided who are providing bread to the citizens. And for anyone who thinks this has put up on the league of big nations ....when the donation programs like save the children and kind advertise they dont advertise kids from Japan,Italy,Milan, Morocco or other F1 nations ..they do from India.Unless each and every Indian living does not have a decent standard of living no matter what India does it will be never up at the pedestal. This hasn't be told that many corporate have pulled out or cut their investments in this sport called F1 due to high cost and low returns. When i travel international people do recognize me from a nation that hosted F1 but also where many go hungry and haven't got a roof over head !!

INDIA IS NOT A COMUNIST OR SOCIALIST COUNTRY
by such jano on Nov 08, 2011 06:58 PM

its a free country close to capitalist. People should not critisize F1, they can fight for socialism if they like to do so.
As long as we are not going for socialism people have right to induldge in IPL, F1 etc etc as long as they follow rules of the land and pay proper taxes and there is no corruption.
