ADMK got benfitted because of DMK's mistakes, especially Karuna's family domintion. Peole ot fed-up with this and they have forced to choose Jaya. Karunanidhi's family made the red carpet for Jaya.
An early indication of what kind of a politician Karunanidhi will develop into came after a bye-election that the DMK won against the ruling Congress in the 1950s. Party leaders who had contributed the most to the victory had assembled at the celebrations hoping Anna would praise their hard work.
To their horror, however, Anna presented a gold ring to Karunanidhi, who had played only a peripheral role, and lavishly praised him. Stunned, the leaders asked Anna in private to explain. He told them Karunanidhi had paid for the ring himself and had given it to him the previous night, requesting that the ring be presented to him at the ceremony. “You pay for the jewels and I will present them to you too,” Anna added.
i think the voters also would have thought, if DMK came to power and god forbid, Mr Karunanidhi does not survive the 5 yr term on account of health, there will be a serious succession fight and the party could split into multiple factions.. is that?

Kalaignar an able adminstrator, quick in taking decisions, hard worker, having the poor in heart, and admirably good memory power has to meet with the debacle all because he lost the grip.I wondered at his capability when we met at Annamalai university in 1955, where he came to propagate Periar philosophy. After all it is democracy

He is keeping the poor only in his heart to remain in his heart only, and not to prosper in their life
Is not it a electoral malpractice to offer freebies to get elected ? What is the election commission doing ? Why not other states offering freebies if it is permitted under the election rules ? Why not good food grains and other essential items for every citizen at controlled prices. This will instantly bring down the inflation. Do not give subsidised petrol and diesels to private cars.
The amount of 176000 Crores as represented in the 2G scam amount is highly exaggerated. The total population of India is approx 125 crores. So, 176000/125 = 1408 Crores is what each Indian will get if this so called earning is distributed. Will mobile operators pay so much for a 10 year license? Think about it.

correction.. the distribution will be 1408 rupees per indian .. and that is a fair enough price for a 10 yr license.. i think the allegation is that government should have recieved 1,76,000 crore rupees more than what they recieved now.. and to sell it for less by such an amount .. ministers and others took a small commission..that way it would make sense.
Great to see you as TN CM again. From: M.G.Ramachandran, Founder ADMK, Ex TN CM, World's first film star turned politician, World's most popular 3 letter word person.
Free gold and cash only for girls who have studied to diplomo level (i.e. 15 years of schooling) and are of legal marrying age. This scheme works towards educating girl children and preventing child marriage and tackles health care problems associated with pregnencies of young women. It costs the government 4 g of gold (Rs 10,000)and 25-50000 in cash. But, by educating a girl child the govt is making sure that her future family/generation does not suffer from illetracy.
