Then in a turn of events, they were declared winners with a narrow margin. Very fishy. The same sequence happened for Chidambaram too in the last election. He was trailing, in the last moment there was a pause and a few announced he lost, but at the end he was declared winner with a narrow margin. I think Election commission is allowing bargaining among the parties if top level leaders are in trouble and allowing to bend the rules. Is EC trustworthy - they r doing their job ok 80% - but 20% doubtful.

Of course everything is doubtful when it is not favourable to us. Last time too JJ doubted like this and Ramdas too. Why the BJP too.
Karuna has decided to do a Sachin act...he plans auctioning his YELLOW shawl (as it has served the purpose of keeping him healthy & ticking)...heard it was provided to him by TTD.

At this juncture what is wrong in giving free CTV etc.when big industries/corporates etc. were given free electricity,land, tax holiday duty free imports export incentives, every year reduction of IT to salary class etc. Six months maternity leave with salary everything is free. From people like you is not realising those things, after all poor agriculturists/ downtroden/disabled etc are paid free it is being critisised. Who critisise?" only who are indirectly receiving. When all the rich, upper middle class are enjoying various benefits nothing is wrong to give to the poor for uplifting them.

The urban yuppies came out in drives to vote for the first time. Vote they did with a vengeance. The upwardly mobile yuppies could not enjoy their night (pub) life with their girl friends: because the grand sons / great grand nephews of the former CM, would create a ruckus and indulge in rowdy behavious with the young girls. The police was always a mute spectator, and if anything they booked cases against the complainants!!!!
DMK has already distributed freebees, Whereas Jayalalitha had only announced such freebees. If people vote for freebees then they'd have voted only DMK. Also DMK announced more freebees in this elec tion. DMK's promise can be trusted as they have already fulfilled their promises. In spite of all these when people have overwhelmingly voted ADMK , people with even miniscule brains will understand that Tamilnadu voter do not vote for the sake of freebees.
When will these politicians ever learn? How about some basic "freebees" like clean drinking water, garbage and pot hole free roads, basic medical ameneties, decent schools in every hamlet? Voters will gratefully remember these and perhaps return the politicians back to power.

First you learn the freebees and their uses: TVs -To make rural people aware of the happenings. Free Gas connections- To stop Poor people from using firewood in order to stop felling of trees which will the environment. Rice @ Re.1/kg.to poor- the supreme court just ordered the Central Govt to ensure noone dies of starvation whereas Tamilnadu has taken care of the issue already. Waiver of Tuition Fee in Engineering colleges for the first time graduates from poor family- To make higher education affordable to poor. Free Noon meal at schools with one egg per day- to ensure healthy generation in future. I request all people with brains and conscience to think whether these facilities given by DMK are just freebees for election purpose.

Why TV and why not CABLE FREE? Infact TV is cheap and Cable connections are more expensive which rural people cannot afford...they can spend this on their kids education...so request why the DMK chose to give free TV and not FREE CABLE?
Also curious why even while Karuna had stake in SUNTV shares, they didn't name it SOORIYAN TV while they go about making Tamil Film Names in Tamil? All hypocrites...while Tamil Films names are named in Tamil...all songs these days has THANGLISH (Tamil English) lyrics...what is DMK going to do about that? for the money swindled they ought to give Nano not grinder...

none will get a single grain from money swindled, freebies would be given from state's budget..and to get rs 10,000 TV, people will have to pay Rs. 8000 bribe. they will still be happy..and public officers would be happy..TV companies would be happy..except you ( if you are not any of poor, govt. oficial and corporates ) and me who pay loads of taxes..!!!

the point is Sumangali Cable is monopoly...and Arasu cable that Karuna govt brough while fighting the Marans is now down to drains because they have patched up...
While he promised Color TV's I am telling each home is paying cable money every month going to kitty of Karuna's grand nephews...who will pay royalty to Karuna..making Karuna and sons richer.
DMK party followers are so foolish and rushed to buy TV's forgetting they are paying Sumagali cable every month to watch Kalaigar & SUN TV
