Absolutely Right. Congress got 63 seats, after crying like a kid and got only 5 places won. Its not important, how many seats you contest, But to win is important
If you read the comments all over you would think Jaya is a saint and DMK was the satan. Fact is DMK implemented infrastructure projects. DMK built a huge assembly building which Jaya is not even going to be using and instead use the hole british built. There are temples built in 12th century that are standing now. What has the current generation built that will last for the next 100 years? sewage rivers? Karunanidhi built that humungous state assembly building that could last, but it will now be a beggars haven thanks to Jaya. Not only that the finance minister is a tea shop owner. Good luck to TN, you deserve what you want. Sasikala family will be richer by millions of crores.

Fact is that DMK siphoned off money from all projects whether infrastructure or not. The humongous state assembly was built to humor Karunanidhi's ambition to equal the great kings of the past like the Cholas and he likened himself to a King, which made his various children as prince and princess in waiting. The finance minister can be a tea shop owner but should not be a thief like the thieves who manned MK's government including his family of thieves who looted the entire nation for their greed.

Also, nobody considers Jaya a saint, but it was important to get rid of this Family of thieves who were brazenly looting TN. The excuses they gave for essential commodities price rise and power cuts spoke of an arrogance that underlies your comment too that TN will get what it deserves. TN like everyone else definitely will get what it deserves at least now that the broker MK and his family that were defrauding the nation are gone. People do remember Jaya's profligacy and extravagance too, but when they gave MK a double tenure to set that right he instead set about outdoing her in all departments such that even the lowest corrupt person would quote the governments corruption as his excuse for indulging in corruption. All this humbug of infrastructure development by MK doesnt cut ice with TN people as they expect such as a matter of right and as a product of governance which is why governments are there in the first place, not just to distribute freebies and indulge themselves in functions and filmi bashes.
Mr.Nadar you are too late. What is the use of all these reasons after the debacle.Hon.MK gave free TV to people of TN whwere in they watched 2G GHOTALA.Thats all.
The schemes announced by Mr.Karunanidhi are actually social welfare schemes. Calling them Freebies is insulting the poor and downtrodden living in rural areas.

what use is a TV without cable connection..and who is the monopoly for cable tv...dmk's sumangali network. History and sound economics says the freebies destroy the economy and make ppl lazy

Freebies are not for grabbing power. But for the social upliftment of poor and downtrodden living in Rural India. Free TVs -To make rural poor people to have some entertainement and at the same time become aware of the happenings in the outside world. Free Gas connections- To stop Poor people from using firewood in order to stop felling of trees which will save forests and the environment. Rice @ Re.1/kg.to poor- the supreme court just ordered the Central Govt to ensure no one suffers of starvation whereas Tamilnadu has taken care of the issue already through this scheme. Waiver of Tuition Fee in Engineering colleges for the first time graduates from poor family- To make higher education affordable to poor. Free Noon meal at schools with one egg per day- to ensure healthy generation in future. I request all people with brains and conscience to think whether these facilities given by DMK are just freebees for election purpose. Dont' they really serve the rural poor who are majority in India?

I second your thought... DMK is anyday a more useful government for TN public than ADMK which the TN public never realises!!! Its their fate that they have to suffer for another 5 more years!!! All the best to them......

police presence was felt nil, lot of politicalinterference with police,middle class torture and wide spread hearing of extortions,land cases getting solved to katta panchayats,law and order loss was avery very severe reason for d.m.k loss
I admire Tamilians for routing DMK which is core corrupted party. Hope Cong will bite the same feat in next general elections. People shd act strongly against corruption and take them out of power mercilessly.
But I am not ok with free schemes promised by Jaya too.
Parties shd attract the people with performance and not with free schemes. Hope useless EC will take some steps to curb these free schemes.

so it was necessary to counter the godies with even more goodies .
if the EC had put a ban on these practises none of them would have dared breaking the rule !
