I think the writer is from another kerala. I agree that VS comes from a poor background and he has worked at the grass root level. But he has been one of the arrogant CMs we ever had. Cant imagine anyone else telling a martyr major's father [father of major unnikrishnan] that no dog would have come and met them had it not been unnikrishnan's parents. the guy had just lost his sone fighting for the country and here is the CM of the state saying this. this is the same VS who when he was the opptn leader stated that he will get all the culprits in women abuse cases and would put them behind bars - what has he done ? For this close finish congress has only themselves to blame for the sheer overconfidence and the kind of 'high command' decisions in handing over the tickets. Its a pity that both the fronts played out the game again in atleast 4 seats to defeat the bjp.

dont tell much. im not CPM. But he is the best chief minister in kerala history. u cannot deny it. lets wat the umman will do. The only problem for VS was party was not vth him. They r all in one way or the other way in the line of capitalist supporters. Party itself is ready to compromise.evey body knows it. The result is bengal and kerala lost. CPM lost only bcos of their attitude.they never been vth the common people. only VS was vth them. if they vth him, congress will ever come to power. I wished it to be tied to 70-70.

no way i'm saying umman will do anything. umman is another waste, just a loyal agent of the 'high command'. congress will step up the corruption in the state..thats it. the only leader worthy in the ranks is vm sudheeran and he will never get a meaningful role as he cant be manipulated by the high command.
my only point was the arrogance of VS. i know that he tried to be against the party lines, but if you read it pro-poor..i wont buy that. his was only trying to score against pinarayi and the politburo which ousted him once. he is such an egoist character. can you please tell me what exactly the pro-poor things he has done in the last 5 yrs. whatever he started he left it in the midway - munnar just a prime example.
