VS stands tall
by Suresh S on May 13, 2011 07:17 PM  | Hide replies

It's a win of communal forces in Kerala. Congress is the most communal party in India aligning with clear communal forces such as Muslim league and Kerala Congress polarizing society in the name of religion. For the civilized Keralites VS is the real winner. The narrow win is just the blessings of Bishops and maulvis who whould be remote controlling Oompen Chandy and his corrupt communal brigade. Phew.....

looks like another moron.... Did LDF deliberately divide socitey for political gain like UDF does? If some backward societies are supporting LDF, then its the result of the socio economic background which happens on its own. Whereas ur communal Muslim league, Keral Congress, congress alliance was clearly seeking the vote on the basis of religion

by Suresh S on May 13, 2011 07:16 PM  | Hide replies

Whats the ideology of Congress? Dancing to the tunes of minority vote bank and polarizing society in the name of religion. They are doing this for the past 60 yers keeping this country in darkness. End to Congress and its nasty dynasty, communal and corrupt politics is the way forward to a better India. The more the people wil become civilized the better the chance for this.

by Pradeep Kumar on May 13, 2011 07:14 PM

Why rediff is paying Mr.Bhadrakumar, they can just translate the stories of Deshabhimani (the CPM owned news paper) to english and publish... It is just hero worshipping of a former communist who was intelligent enough to become a career diplomat (May be the only Malayalee communist ever reached that level).

Everybody is claiming their side victory. LDF says it is VS who is the reason for 68 seats, for the second term. UDF says it the wrong decision by Rahul Gandhi for selecting the candidates etc.
Earlier times Kerala was having only two main political lines. But now indirectly we have three political lines, including BJP. BJP is the main "villain", who follows the same UDF ideologies, and divide UDF votes and sitting behind and enjoying the "clash of both LDF and UDF". Even if they won, to whom they will align-with?

In Kerala it the victory of communal politics. With 20 MLAs of MuslimLeague and 9 MLAs of KeralaCongress, it is back to blackmailPolitics. During one of their earlier era the then Speaker A.C.Jose had to cast his vote as many as 9 times a day to save the Ministry.

Kerala elections are fought on communal grounds and still VS has emerged as a great winner. CPM would have made a blunter if VS was side lined. VS can match VS's public image and integrity. I am sad he could not form the government. Now congress with Muslims and christians ruling Kerala will be a tamasha. Anthony, Ravi, Chennithala and Chandy are all hopeless leaders. It is not because of Amul baby but of CPM's division and commual politics that UDF has got a slunder majority. Even if they form a government it wont last long.

Communal Ramesh is Loser
by Ahamed on May 13, 2011 06:49 PM  | Hide replies

Winners are VS,Pinarayi,Kunhalikutty,Ommen chandy
Losers are Ramesh Chennithal and KM Mani

Great decison by SNDP and JIH.
Vote for Sustainable development.
(Fact Kerala has only 19% under BPL where Gujrat has 31 % under BPL.
Defintion of EPL in India except Kerala is Rs 400 Per Month.Where Kerala has much better parameters).

Factors against UDF.

LDF Government is good compared with UDF.
Consolidation of ezhava and thiyya votes for LDF.
Consolidation of poorer communities against UDF.
Muslims against Cong (I) who does not get give enough representation of Muslim Candidates (T Siddique and MM Hassan etc).
Small communities which does not get enough representation in CONG (I) reject UDF.

Its mandate against RSS Supporter Ramesh Chennithala for making arrangements with RSS.
Its Mandate against Savarna Politics - Sabha and NSS , Savarna Media.
Its Mandate against Hindu,Muslim and Christian communal parties like NSS,Shaba and Muhajid and Sunni Groups.

Muslims does not need have to support single-way in kerala politics.
JIH's stand for LDF has strong influence in muslim youth in southern and mid kerala.

With support of Ramesh's RSS Stand , BJP Account is still big ZERO and Cong(I) won only 38 seats out of 84 seats.

The difference is that LDF didnt deliberately polarize the society on a communal grpound. Even the approach of viewing politics from a communal angle by ordinary Muslims in northenr Keral amazes me. Can't they see any thing out of religion ? Common be civilized..act civilized..
