Madam JJ
please full fill all the election promises you made to the people
Let this be your first task to finish.
People expect a lot from you, this time you have to live upto their expection.
Be friendly with all and keep all under your fold.
Please Do not antagonise anyone.
Its politics - you can learn 1 or 2 lessons from this MK also, he is so good at keeping all the people and leaders happy so also you can do Madam JJ.
If you do so, no body can shift you anymore
becasue all the people love and favour you but they are asking when this MK can give all these freedbies why Madam did not give?
Now you learnt to play the MK game, do it well
Good Luck Madam JJ

Usurper MK
by Kowsik on May 12, 2011 10:59 AM

Even the Last Assembly Election the people were on the side of Madam JJ but the evil force MK and the congress party connived to usurper the power to rule the state under minority government by MK.
We remember still, whenever, Madam called Mk's government as Minority DMK government, M.Kunanidhi used to meaning as Minority people government( what a crook is he)
P.Chadamabaram last time made his winning by playing upon Raja Kannappan's vote.
This time the people had made a silent revolution by pushing away the M.karunanidhi and his family hegemony.
After this results, MK and his group will not stand together, there will be lots of in fighting and group wars and family rivelry etc.
Hope Tamil People will come out of it all strong and steady with Madam JJ at the helm of the adminsitration.
Good Luck Madam JJ

Keep Brahaminical parties away
by JGN on May 12, 2011 10:06 AM  | Hide replies

DMK or AIADMK, both are Dravidian parties and it makes no difference who wins elections so far Brahaminical parties like Congress and BJP remain marginalized. Every Indian state should try to follow Tamilandu model and keep Brahaminical parties away from the reach of power.

Madam is egoestic, she will not listen anybody that is the greatest problem, she will not belive anybody.
But Karuna is very adjustable charactor, also adjustable to scams, to mint money and for family, his family is one amongest 13 th richest family in Asia.
came with empty handed, from Tiruvarur, made a divide and rule poilcy between brhamins and non brhamins, made brhamins as scapegoate because of docile nature in the area of reservation and made tamil brhamins as poor depriving oppurtunities, all due to color since at that time brhamins are white and non brhamins are black, and also land lords at that time brhamins.
now karuna and DMK Realised that they have insulted tamilbrhamins by pulling threads, and all 20 yrs back tamil movies are anti hindu, anti brhamins nature, now DMK HAS REFINED, THEY ARE REALISING, infact off late all DMK people are, saibaba .They have changed.
But Madam,is pro vaishnavite in nature, in her period only Kanchi sankaracharya jailed, immediately unseen Tsunami destroyed Tamilnadu killing 6000 tamils.
both dravidian parties are same nature

Food for thought

Dont forget the following rule of thumb:

In the absence of a CLEAR CUT political alternative - elect the lesser evil. Never vote for those parties whose policies will ruin you morally or threaten the existence of your people.. aka comyoonists and congrss parties.

People should internally HOPE for a 100% incorruptible, nationalist, development oriented state that strives to improve all spheres of human existence.

But in its absence, they should still actively participate in democracy and vote for the lesser evil... not just give up and badmouth "all politicians" with a self defeatist nihilist mentality.

DMK & Congress
by Samir Bhagwat on May 11, 2011 06:53 PM

There is a black humour here. DMK Karunanidhi betrayed the tamil people and even common ethics by supporting the Congress (which supported the genocide in Sri Lanka)for his and his family's personal gain. Now his mentor has turned on him and it seems, the tamils are also not going to forgive him. Justice comes late, but it does come.

CPM and Communism
by mailme alladin on May 11, 2011 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

Lot of people (even media) in the forum and outside forum (specially ones from outside Bengal)have anti-communists and sentiment and vent anger out to CPM. For those people's information, there is hardly any thing communists about CPM except the name.
1. They have captured power through election not revolution.
2. Top leadership is not corrupt (in Indian standard) unlike the heads of the erestwhile eastern european countries (I wud think this is the biggest reason of fall of communism).
3. Very high intra-party democracy.
4. Absolutely no censorship of media or people's voice - you can write/speak/act any drama.
5. No problem with private investment (relatively recent change) - prefer to follow Chinesse model - avoiding disinvestment of core-sectors.
They are often criticised for their support to labour unions (who are notorious for strikes and bandhs). Fighting for the right/social security of the vulnerable section of the society is more of socialist nature that exists in any developed country including USA, UK and France.

I would request these people to assess CPM with a open mind than simply calling them Chineese agent or communist.
Just remember ruling a state for 35 years by a party doesn't happen just like that

What an analysis. Where had you been all these years? We need Kohinoor Heera like you to add to the Navratnas. Add one more point. Sacking Somnath Chatterjee, a CPIM veteran and a diehard communist, because he did not resign the Speaker's chair, and vote according to party's lines in the Nuclear Deal. Reserve your thoughts to yourself. Don't flash out your ignorance.

You know something. When Jyoti Basu was the CM of West Bengal, 6-8 hrs powercuts in Kolkata was almost the rule of the day. This manhoos man, when he landed at Heathrow Airport, London, the whole airport was plunged into darkness for half-an-hour or so as there was a power failure. Such is the bad luck of this person. I was a student during the eighties when I had to read under candle light or lanterns in sweltering heat, because of power-cuts, or Loadshedding (as they call in Kolkata). He was a joke of a CM. May his soul RUST in PIECES.

A typical life cycle of persons like you:
(1) Born into a family of CPM sympathisers or beneficiaries or party apparatchik.
(2)Brought up in a thoroughly policised atmosphere, not even thinking outside party lines.
(3)Vernacular medium student, school teachers all party members - often unfit to teach but recruited solely for party propaganda and carrying on the party's agenda.
(4)Joined SFI in college/University. Used Party connections to gain access to student power politics, and to browbeat, intimidate or otherwise harrass non-SFI students.
(5)Low standards in academics, only thing that matters is party affiliation. Used CPM/SFI/DYFI connections to get admission to institutions/courses even if otherwise ineligible.
(6) Education based on tutions from XYZ"da" or ABC"di" - all party members of course. Used party connections to manipulate exam results (I have personal knowledge of this happening). Of course, in many cases the questions were known beforehand - in the form of "suggestions".
(7)Joined Coaching classes, run, again by party apparatchik. Being successful in state-level recruitment tests and interviews (especially for teaching jobs) is totally dependent on party connections, and managed so.
(8) Joining service, a member of CITU if in industry, Co-ordination committee if in State Government service or similar party-affiliated organisations if in education.
(9) Life's smooth. Undeserved pr

If you have noticed, the posts of the CPM supporters in this and earlier forums often lacked proper evidences, supporting data. The claims are exaggerated and there is a common tendency of refusal to accept the reality and instead a blind bias against Mamata Banerjee.

I am not a great supporter of Mamata Banerjee and I don't support her on accepting crooks like Somen Mitra, Madan Mitra in her party. But I can foresee that she may present a better alternative simply because she has to be in power sans Cong. The exit polls show TMC will be single major party and they may be able to form the Govt without any support. This will give them the opportunity to undermine Cong and hence in future TMC could well be alone, with both Cong & CPM in the opposition.
Unless Mamata shows some results, she can't win another election. And going by the status of WB, anything she does will be seen as a positive.

Joy Gupta. Don't get unduly perturbed and disturbed by Anti-Mamata posts. I totally and fully support you. It is expected that dying man will try to grasp the last straw and try to rescue himself, hope against hope. I will join you in your tirade against the harmad vahini. As a person who has been born and brought up in Kolkata, I can say that CPIM under Jyoti Basu had done NOTHING almost nothing, for the welfare of the State and its people. There is a joke. After Jyoti Basu's death, they wanted to name a street in Kolkata after him. So, somebody commented if the road leads to NOWHERE, then it should be named after him. He was instrumental in pushing West Bengal by three decades in industrialisation and development. To quote a Sanskrit saying: Vinash Kaley Vipreet Buddhi. Whatever shortcomings Mamata can have, she would be known to demolish the 34-years old CPIM rule. Best of lucks to her and to people of Bengal. The Commies must respect the people's mandate as they had been doing so for the last 34 years.
