JAPAN TRAGEDY
by venket subramaniam on Mar 12, 2011 08:31 PM  | Hide replies

When a tragedy of this magnitue struck our Asian neighbour leaving thousands dead, untraceable or injured, in addition to leaving the whole country paralysed.

It would have been in the fitness of things, if the authorities had decided to give a holiday for the ICC world matches as mark of respect to the unfortunate departed souls.

At least the players should have worn a black badge.

it's very unfortunate that at any of the place we have not seen any announcement of condolence either from highest offices in our country. or even the international kannada festival held at belgaum....We have close relation ship with Japan , you name it Maruti suzuki and so on....we have lost that human touch... We indians always preached "sarve janaaha sukhino bhavantu" and "samasta sanmangalani santu". Still it is not (too )late. Let us all pray for the well being of all departed souls at this hour of grief of the small nation Japan , which we always emulate for qulity......

Indians are the biggest hypocrates in the world. Born loosers. Consequently they do not deserve good lives. The curse of the millions who remain hungry each night shall burn the country.

Wrong News by Rediff
by Bibhutibhushan Haribhakti on Mar 12, 2011 07:17 PM

Rediff should avoid sensationalizing news in this manner. Here is the actual version "An explosion at an earthquake-damaged nuclear plant was not caused by damage to the nuclear reactor but by a pumping system that failed as crews tried to bring the reactor's temperature down, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Saturday"

OH GOD! DESTROY THIS INHUMAN WORLD
by Ilango S on Mar 12, 2011 07:14 PM  | Hide replies

Almost 2 years after war..........

Still, more than a lakh of Eelam Tamils are behind the barbed wires.

For them till now no political solution.

Most of their houses were destroyed by Srilankan & Indian war planes.

There is no sign of rehabitation.

Abduction of tamil youths continues by white van by Sinhala chavunism.

India also invlolved in torturing Eelam Tamils in the name of LTTE beacause of its involved guiltiness in war crimes.

Tamil Nadu politicians are selfish and they enjoy their political power because of votes of more than 6 crore tamil population, and they are not bothered of their brotherhood of eelam tamils.

Mr M Karunanidhi & his family have recieved huge crores of money from both Congress and Rajapakshe govt to suppress the outburst of Tamil people on the Eelam Tamil issue.

Congress and DMK had spent a very huge amount of money for bribing the election commission and votes of Tamil people. Where the money came from.

Congress Govt not allowing other political parties to visit war torn areas.

India is silent on the welfare of Eelam Tamils and it is not allowing UN or other country to involve in settling the political issue and rehabilation process.

Not allowing the migrated tamils to help their blood relations.

Oh God! Save Eelam Tamils and destroy inhuman world.

Nuclear Reactor Operation Failure
by Zahir K Hussain on Mar 12, 2011 07:07 PM

Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) has informed the IAEA’s Incident and Emergency Centre (IEC) that there has been an explosion at the Unit 1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, and that they are assessing the condition of the reactor core. The explosion was reported to NISA by the plant operator, TEPCO, at 0730 CET. Further details were not immediately available.

Japanese authorities have extended the evacuation zone around the Fukushima Daiichi plant to a 20-kilometre radius from the previous 10 kilometres. At the nearby Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant, the evacuation zone has been extended to a 10-kilometre radius from the previous three kilometres.

The authorities also say they are making preparations to distribute iodine to residents in the area of both the plants.

The IAEA has reiterated its offer of technical assistance to Japan, should the government request this.

The IAEA continues to liaise with the Japanese authorities, and is in full response mode to monitor the situation closely around the clock as it evolves.

REACTOR EXPLOSION IN JAPAN
by Estevam Dias on Mar 12, 2011 07:00 PM

iT SEEMS THAT THE ATOMIC REACTOR NORTH OF TOKYO HAS EXPLODED AND THE CAUTION IS JUST 10 KMS AWAY, PEOPLE SHOULD EVACUATE.
DO ANYBODY CAN GUESS HOW FAR THIS NUCLEAR ENERGY CAN RADIATE? oNLY TOP ATOMIC SICENTISTS ALL OVER THE WORLD SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL THE TRUTH/ BECAUSE JAPAN WILL NEVER GIVE OUT THE EXACT RADIATION FIGURE. THIS COYLD BE A TRADE SECRET OTHERWISE THE WORLD TOP COUNTRIES WILL BE ABLE TO STUDY AND DESIGN MUCH MORE POWER SO THAT IN TIME TO WORLD WAR THIS COULD HELP THEM.
I AM SURE JAPAN AND CHINA MAY BE HAVING POWERFUL ATOMIC REACTOR AND INDIA OR PAKISTAN CAN NEVER DREAM OF IT.
THE CITIZEMS IN JAPAN ARE BEEN FOOLED ALREADY AS THEY HAVE ALREADY WIRNEEENESS EARLIER DURING THE HIROSHINA ATOM BOMB EXPLOSION.
THIS IS THE HOME WORK FOR THE INDIAN SCIENTITS TO STUDY THIS PHENONMENA AND PLAN THEUIR STRATEGY IN FUTURE FOR INDIA. IN TERMS OF SAFETY SECURITRY ETC.
