Guha - History
by Indian Rishi on Jan 26, 2011 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

For Guha, history starts only after 1947. Before that there was no India.

These guys ruined the nation.
Who divided the nation? Can he say a word about seperatists who divided the nation and embraced islmc ideology?

Guha like leftist people are threat to the nation.

Let Guha say about true history of this nation.

Time for change in constitution
by sams.321@rediffmail.com on Jan 26, 2011 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

Indian constitution really needs to change; it was good for 1947 but can’t stand in 2011.
• Still many Politicians are from criminal background
• Still Illiterate people with zero social work are being elected for CM position
• There is no retiring age limit for Politicians.
• There is no minimum education qualification for politicians.
• I firmly believe, there should be written test and few interview rounds from CBI or election committee before getting ticket for election.
• President should be given more responsibility like National Security or at least he/she can keep an eye on all the policies running by Indian government for people of India.
• President/PM should create teams which should look and try to improve services provided by private/government organization.

Implementation of law is important rather than making law
by Nitesh jain on Jan 26, 2011 12:26 PM

I have always believed that indian runs on custom rather than law even in our day to day life.

It has become now a days customary to accuse everyone in public life to accuse but no solution or revolt by the citizens of this country let us not forget that people like Sonawane burnt alive was also a public servant but what other citizens have done to save him or atleast call police immediately or fire brigade. We debate, write too much on the issues but implementation of our thoughts is very weak and this attitude is therein the minds of our pubic servants

Yes! worst than crisis
by Rahul Miano on Jan 26, 2011 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Becoz:

1) Humangous dimensions of Corruption in Public Life by Ministers, Politicians, Bureaucrats,Corporates, Media,Defence Personnel & Judicary.

2) Ministers attacking the Constitutional bodies to please their party chief
3) Ministers speaking in public on contentious matters when Parliament is in session.

4) SC pulling the Govt on its lakadaisal attitude and approach on matters of National and public interest like corruption, Land Scam, and Retrival of Black Money.

5)The Finance Minister with quetionable Audacity, on the eve of Republic day tells the SC and the nation that names of shady people who have stashed their illgotten and Illicit Money in off shore heavens and banks won't be made public, even though the SC has termed this as Dacoity and plunder of nations wealth.

6) The Finance Minister , Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on the eve of 62 Republic day is clearly batting for these Dacoits by proposing the Amnesty Schemes for the Black Money hoarders in the coming Budget,2011-12, making a mockery of Honest tax paying Citizens of this Country.

India Shining

Our fault entirely- that many of us did not vote in 2009. Our Karma that the today's lawmakers of our country have become lawbreakers and that the opposition could not stand united to form an alternative government.

When BJP calls for unfurling the flag at Lal Chowk, the entire set of political parties could have stood with BJP, thus removing any so called Saffron tinge to the affair and at the same time, slapping the separatists in their face. But instead, our Terrorist-Appeasing central Govt headed by opposite of Progress party, is interested only in forwarding Separatist agenda in the hopes that other separatists living in TerroristGadh (Azamgadh) and other places in UP with more than 60% Muzxie population will vote for it and bring it to power there, so that the loot of that most resource-rich state in India can keep continuing, at the hands of a foreign lady- what more do you expect other than that people rom other countries will laugh that a sovereign nation prevented it's citizens from hoisting it's flag in what it claims as an integral part of it's territory?

This is Kali-Yuga- expect the unexpected when Rakshasas are in power

Indian democracy is in a crisis
by Brainwashed DynastyBootLicker on Jan 26, 2011 11:22 AM

Indian democracy is in a crisis because even though Shri Rahul Gandhi is the most eligible person to be Prime Minister, it is Manmohan Singh who is occupying that post.

Patel and Bose
by Raghavendra Ravi on Jan 26, 2011 11:09 AM

It is disservice to this nation to call Patel and Bose as simple doers who did not have their own noble and high thoughts. Probably Ram Guha does not like their line of thought and hence dismisses them so easily. Bose certainly had his own thoughts and hence did not want to DO what Gandhi/ Nehru wanted done!

Problem with Liberals
by Raghavendra Ravi on Jan 26, 2011 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

Problem with liberals like Ram Guha are - they only state problems (the way they see it) -- but offer no solutions or they offer such solutions which cannot be implemented at all.

Another problem with his view is - he thinks that since 82% of Indians are "hindus" Hindus are the cause of the problems!! This logic beats me - you can be 2% of the problem and 90% of the problems. He is learned, he thinks, but he is committed to a view point which is not real and he is not open to opposing view points ( and to that extent is NOT liberal)

Very well stated ! Guha are typical JNU products or in that stream...just think and write, and do nothing. Get thru IAS and then loot the country. That is why Guha types are rarely read and easily forgotten, without contributing to any solution for India's humongous problems. And then this rediff interviewer - God knows from which planet is the interviewer coming from - perhaps is another SOnia paid guy - to suggest of "Sonia using charisma" - that is biggest BS. Sonia using raw money power acquired from the loot that Congress Party has indulged in the last 29 years whenever it has been in power - whether at Center or States. See the passivity, deliberate stonewalling of Advani's point of getting back the black money (sure they should have tried too, in the 5 years they were in power, but in India with the mess COngress passed over to them 5 years was awfully short), see the way her hadpicked fellows are looting Indian tax payors - like Kalmadi (CWG scam 25000 cr), Pawar (cause of the food inflation problem in India 100000 cr), A Raja (the master scamster of history 173000 crores), the Chief Vigilance Comm is a ex-Telecom Secy when the loot happened, the Adarsh Society scamsters, the Laloo fodder scam...the list goes on, and no one pays attention for more than 1 week...And how protective is the media of this loot by Sonia and her men - reason is that media is paid for my SOnia clan...Sardesai , a SOnia guy runs Editors Guild !!!! Amen

I do not know what is the use of referendums like that - you can conduct such referendum in Bombay and people may say that they want to become independent of India and become a separate state with 2 Crores population ! Does that make sense?? Also, if we call ourselves secular, is it OK to allow Kashmir to separate themselves based on religion?? and why is it that with so much of freedom and opportunity being given to them does not convince them that they are part of mainstream?? why is it that they always think that they are "marginalized"?? persecution complex I suppose.

Kashmiris are not allowed to travel anywhere in Kashmir.

They are branded as criminals and incarcerated. That's why they want independence.

if few kashmiris think that they are not part of india thats their problem. what is the independence you are talking about? do you believe in the seperatist and huriyat leaders? how do you think kashmir will sustain as a state if it is seperated from india? dont you know how fragile the civil society across the border ? you want to be part of such a stream or you want to believe that you are part of india and then try to benefit from its economy ?

Nonsence, Pak inspired. Real Kashimiris know they will be destroyed by the Pakis, and the ISI Mullahs that run that country. A Bhutto/Musharraf is not safe there, how can that failed nonsence of a country care for hardworking, sincere Kashmiris.
