Why do we need certificate from phoren to recognize our heros. Will Subhash chandra bose be rewarded & recognized. Even Mahatma did not get Nobel.
The world will take a while to appreciate something as advanced as India music.
Listen to his voice first and then comment. MJ will never get where Lata, MS Sublakshmi and Bhimsen reach.
Rambha has her own followers but godess Saraswathi has her temples.

Yea. He was original. He never stole tunes like AR Rehman. Khalbali hai khalbali etc. and many more cannot be called music by any angle

Krish, music is not just film music. Before you post try to understand who the departed person was. This kind of slap-stick stuff reflects very poorly on you and your culture and your people. He was a great meestro. He won accolades in International level. Lata ji is singing since 50 yrs. You can't find a singer like her in world. Rehman and Illaya raja worship Latas feet. They deserve Bharat Ratna. For your info Pune is n't in North India. Its in Wesern part of India.

For your information, he is from Karnataka originally, settled in Pune much later. He was not north Indian, his mother toungue was Kannada.
