If the staris 640 lightyears away. then even though it explodes today it will take 640 years for us to see the light emitted by it. and hence this article has to mention that we cannot see 2 suns until 640 years

No the article says that, the explosion had not taken place before 640 years away and might have happend in 639 or 638 years ago ! Over observations as on today are actually 640 years back !

Actually staris has already exploded 640 years ago. The Image taken shows how it looked 640 years ago.

How can an image be taken of the explosion whose light has not reached the earth? No telescope can show you an event whose light has not reached it. The picture is of some other supernova. It is just indicative of how supernova would look.

Gentleman, light year is a distance unit, year is a time unit. So 640 years is correct

You are wrong..What we, or even the scientists are seeing, is the star as it was 640 years ago. So if it has indeed collapsed 640 years ago, we will see it now....we dont have to wait another 640 years...
In the Holy scriptures it has been predicted about 2000 years ago that there will be signs in the sky as well as in Earth and mankind will start to flee here and there to save themselves from the impending disaster.

Better if the whole earth goes up in flames. Nothing more to worry about for any one.The whole humanity and all creatures would get eternal peace. The whole world has become too dirty,in all spheres of life that it is not worth maintaining.

These rediff people are ignorant, they are in market just to make money. I blocked rediff and when I see rediff once a while I get the same impression. they think that supernova can explode in an year...stupid suckers
