Nanadan.............constitution
by SUDHIR PARASHER on Feb 06, 2011 02:37 PM  | Hide replies

These human rights activists are always destructive and hindrance in the progress of country. See another example Anuradhiti Roy is protecting the rights of Terrorists rather than innocent Indian citizens who are victims of terror. In gopal Krishan's case ,he wants underworld, culprits, anti nationals to be protected. In case govt issues UID nos to all citizens, every one can be identified on national levels. In case some body does crime,he can be identified in no time. The authorities will be able to differnetiate between Indian nationals and foreign terrorists(Particularly from Pakistan.-They look like Indians only). Why we have to listen to every tom dick and harry who is not interested in the progress of the country. Can he explain in which way the issuing of UID will effect Indian society and country adversely.

'Nandan Nilekani is NOT subverting the Constitution'. He has been assigned a particular work. Every citizen is free to give his view. Finally Intectuals will decide. Give your openions, final decision is of theirs. We need not get spoled our heads, just because some one is opposing it in the population of 120 crore people. Thanking all for expressing their free openions.

To understand it you needed to be literate.
Any way it does not contain any data other then and voterid No. & photograph which can't be used to uniquely identify the card or the holder.

THE PROJECT IS GOOD. THIS WILL IDENTIFY LOT OF BLACK MARKETERS/ MONEY HOARDERS/.
WE WANT FREE LOOTING OF INDIA WITH OUT ANU ID PROOFS.
WE SUPPORT STRONGLY THAT ID SHOULD BE THERE AND IT SHOULD BE UNIQUE.
THEN ONLY OUR NATION WILL GO FORWARD AND WILL BECOME SUPER POWER.
OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE LOT OF RAJAS, KAKAS WHAT NOT TO LOOT THE COUNTRY.

UID Fobia
by mnreddi on Feb 06, 2011 01:27 PM  | Hide replies

All this halla about UID highly misplaced. In fact it is the other way around. Having no UID is convenient for criminals & other law breakers . Why an ordinary citizen should be afraid of any State in the world. Granted that State can harass ordinary citizens, can,t it without UID?

Yea right. So the politicians, who are all goody goody people, are bent on implementing UID so that all of them can go to jail and live happly ever after.
keep on dreaming. UID is a tool for just those criminals who run our country. it gives them and their worldwide corrupt partners detailed access into the lives of people, so that they can steal, rob and kill much more methodically.

UID definition
by Abhi Bhat on Feb 06, 2011 01:18 PM  | Hide replies

Having UID is like a you are in a company and you are identified as a individual there where You dont like the work or the policy or the pay or the manager but cant quit to join another company.
But still having employee id is justified. Similarly having ration card is justified.
Similarly having telephone number is justifed
Similarly havving pan number is justified.
So you see the pattern?
And Id is needed whereever the below 4 are defined in a exchange transaction:
party1, party2, commodity1, commodity2.
Party2 in all above examples are a PART of YOU which needs a commodity. Party2 is never YOU as a whole.
The moment you try to assign whole YOU as Party2, you need to define the other 3 things too for justifying an id.
So I guess the commodity1 is freedom in case of uid ??

small question for mr. krishna

gopal, for a second i accept ur point that UID is 1st step to create fodder for a futuristic naazification of our country, but aren't u talking about the intent of the project rather than process and use of its resultant.

we need a single form of identification for all citizens, there is not a single common document today which is available with all indians.

I hope your intent is right but you are pointing your finger in wrong direction, perhaps a better monitoring of governing bodies could check its misuse in future.

enlighten me.

I dont think gopal will respond to your question, but let me try.
What mechanism do you suggest for a 'better monitoring of government bodies'...how do you stop scams like CWG, 2G and many others? how do you stop criminals from getting elected? how do you ensure government will traces its 'own black money' in swiss havens?
dont you think the 'safeguards' should be in place before UID is implemented? or do you prefer to act only after the damage is done? that gives you the thrill, is it?

if any database comes in the hand of bad people, there would be problem but that does not means that we should not have such database. UID is a very good project and would make many govt. schemes more systematic. defenitely the ppl who use it should be intelligent enough

We will become american citizens very soon
by DevD on Feb 06, 2011 12:24 PM  | Hide replies

OK. Here's my question: If UID is meant for tracking cheats and criminals, wouldn't the politicians be the first ones to be caught and put behind bars? Their trail or black money and scams will be the first things that will pop-out once UID is completed.
Why would the politicians dig their own graves? They wouldn't.
So who really stands to benefit from UID? I dont think I would be benefited, nor will any poor person, since there are sufficient number of ID mechanisms right now. What is lacking is a will to serve and help the poor.
The only possible explanation for UID is that it is being designed at the behest of the american government, to whom Sonia & Co are on the verge of selling our country. And US would like to know who they are buying. what properties do they have. what is their religion. who is acting against US interests....and so on. There is no doubt that the UID, like many other things this government i doing, is a part of the 'sale process' to US. But look at the bright side. Very soon all of us will become AMERICAN CITIZENS !! Isn't that great !

hello, the EVM's themselves can be manipulated now, how does it matter who votes and where? besides they will never implement biometric scanning at poll booths...no political party will allow that 'cause everyone wants false votes.
