THIS COUNTRY OF OURS BELONGS ALL OF ITS CITIZENS WHO LOVE IT AND WORK FOR ITS GLORY. NOT JUST TO THE MINORITIES AS SAID BY PM MANMOHAN SINGH BACKED BY SONIA GANDHI AND CONGRESS-I, SAID AFTER WINNING THE ELECTION FOR THE SECOND TIME.
THIS SONIA GANDHI AND PM AND CONGRESS-I PARTY HAVE PROVED THAT THOSE WHO HAVE VOTED FOR THEM ARE EITHER BRAINLESS OR HAVE MADE A VERY BAD MISTAKE.

A leader need not be an "ayatollah of wisdom" to be successful. All he requires is to motivate and inspire others. Leaders tap into the potential of others. People who are arm chair pundits, like B Raman, can never be mass leaders.
When everyone was just talking and cribbing, Anna Hazare got up, took a flight to delhi and sat on fst unto death. He inspired indians to come out and ask for their democratic right - to have a clean administration. That to me is a sign of a leader. People like B Raman should not grudge that!

Mr B. Raman's ego has been hurt. A former senior bureaucrat like him obviously can not accept that Anna Hazare has superior or monopoly of wisdom. Matter of fact, the people who have divided this country into IAS- Non-IAS and IPS-Non-IPS castes can not accept anybody to be superior to them.They are so egoistic and most corrupt, thats what they are.
Today corruption pervades all the spheres of life. And is indeed the bane of our society. It's single most important reason why India cannot progress as a Nation (Not that there aren't other reasons). One only has to look at the economic disparity in the country to know that the present system of governance has failed to realize the goals set at the time of independence. Today, we have an astounding number of BPL people who are hard up for two meals a day although we have quite a few individuals among the wealthiest in the world. Is it something to be proud of? To the corporate types Hazare's movement might look a little naive and it may not be the answer to ALL our ills. But it's certainly a welcome step in the right direction. There is no gainsaying this.

Delay in implementing important projects for "(im)moral reasons" is another form of corruption the nation needs to wake up against. For example, Kota, the city in which I am living for the past 21 years, is divided in two by NH 12. This is the road which can be termed as life line of the city as almost every citizen uses the same for commuting within the the city. During the past 21 years, hundreds of people have lost their lives on account of road accidents within the city limits. Construction of a bye pass was stalled by so called "environmentalist" in the name of damage to the crocodile sanctuary; which in their hypothetical world; will be destroyed if the bye pass is constructed requiring a bridge over the river Chambal. Somehow, after a delay of almost 40 years and hundreds of people loosing their lives in the road accidents due to absence of bye pass, somehow construction began. Under the pressure from the environmentalist, the bridge was required to be a suspension bridge as in the opinion of the "so called soldiers of Environment" erecting pillars will create hindrance in the free movement of crocodiles in the river. However, the bridge collapsed during construction killing 48 people and a large portion sinking into the river. Can these environmentalists say that the wreckage currently in Chambal is friendly to the crocodiles of Chambal River. This is also a kind of corruption in the name of

Alas! some crocodiles might have gone Mad due to sever head injury. And some fish would have done suicide by jumping into the air from the water of Chambel river. Such is the level of lethargy of our Govt. projects. :)
The writer is wrong is assuming that the support was limited to by urban youth only. It was a people's movement and supported by the entire nation. Sorrt for the wisdom and shortsightedness of the writer
