For Once B Raman sounds honest
by aisa aisa on Apr 09, 2011 08:37 AM  | Hide replies

For once B Raman has made an honest analysis of this movement- that it is because government is afraid of the youth power that came out in large number in support of Jan Lokpal Bill, that the govt agreed on the demands of Hazare. And once must keep in mind that Youth and other sections of society came out for Jan Lokpal Bill and not for any individual. It is ofcourse obvious that those leading the initiative for Janlokpal Bill have commitment and doing it for long, and not for any personal gains.

Sir, they have been working on various fronts for years now, even before many of us were born.

We should remind ourselves not to give or accept bribes, not to vote any corrupt to power. These are stalwarts, reliable and true.

B Raman must be laughing at the immatured , so called "younger generation of india".

I ask only one question to all these pseudo patriots on this forum.

Suppose I make a law which says a person not following a traffic light is to be fined Rs 5000(near to 100 dollars)...

How many of you will give a bribe of Rs 500 and get away and how many of you will honestly pay Rs 5000 challan .

Please answer me.

Dont you guys agree that a change should start coming from YOU and ME.

Completely agreed with you.
Most of the people on this blog are from IT. I ask how many of us dont forge rent receipt and medical/LTA bills? In India, corruption is indispensable, because nobody gets punished for corruption. Everyone is corrupt is his own capacity. An IT guy can not be Sharad Pawar to make billions so he is happy saving 20-50 K in taxes.
We need stringent laws to punish corrupt and honest people to implement those laws.

if you think hazare is already in this setup or not, he better be very careful.
The cCartel have begun the process of pulling him into the black-hole/trap of being a bBROKER.
when mayavati became a threat, sonia immediately appointed Meera Kumar (a dalit like Maya) to act against Maya presence. And Meera is under control of congress. Hazare will get no different treatment though he will never know for sweetness outside.

your skepticism won't deter us in our march forward

One Question, B.Raman:

Why did the Shared "Wise" then use their wisdom when we, the people were subjected to unbelievable, unpardonable pillaging under UPA Govt so far? We needed a Supreme court intervention and a Anna Hazare for the Govt. to at least start the crack down (which as everyone knows haven't even touched the sharks yet)

Rajendra Nayak
' Ayatollahs of corruption.'
by Rajendra Nayak on Apr 09, 2011 07:31 AM

B. Raman while writing about 'Ayatollahs of anti-corruption' should also refer to the 'Ayatollahs of corruption'. The country is being run by politicians who have no right to rule in a democracy where they do not have the backing of 50% of the Indians. They deliberately split the votes and some have been elected getting only 17% of the polled votes which are just 40 to 50% of the voters list. The ruling parties themselves are getting just 30 to 40% of the casted votes but they decide for the majority and have been acting like 'Ayatollahs of corruption'.
An upheaval has started and let it not go into the hands of vested foreign interests who would start riots in this anti-corruption melee/gathering.
Salutes to congress party who could sense that the things could go out of hands as it is happening in many countries of the world because Indian elected representatives are declared elected just by getting 30 to 40% of 40 to 50 % votes casted! We have a faulty democracy wherein to rule there should have been a condition to get 50% of the polled votes.

Whose stooge you are...
by Jinraj Kumar on Apr 09, 2011 07:11 AM

Mr. Raman, can you tell me whose stooge you are? We have lost faith in the existing system totally - for the past 60 years, the people of India have been betrayed by cunning bureaucrats and politicians. An 'Ayatollah' is exactly what we want!

Who is Ayotulla in India?
by Sankaranarayanan Chandran on Apr 09, 2011 07:06 AM

Hi Raman
Less said the best on your write-up. Can you recall and tell us as to when in the past Anna had usurped power and behaved like Ayotulla? You can write articles but you can’t even skip a meal. You can say whatever you want but people will only just brush it aside. In this complex country, can you tell us as to how would one get justice through negotiations? A peaceful fight has to be waged and it should send shivers through the spines of crooks. That is what has been done.
