Stop leaving in a dream. Stood up against this author. If this was done in india by someone govt will put him/her in jail. Now its done by westerner people are comenting with freedom of speech, govt is not interested in banning a book. Its a hypocratic, we see PM/President paying shradanjali on gandhi jyanti. Political diplomat like Obama, Queen Elizabeth were taken to pay homage to Gandhiji.

So why everyone is so quiet? Why we are so helpless? This author should be banned to enter in india and case should be filed against him. India should put a pressure on western govt to ban this book worldwide and take action against author.

It really hurts me as Indian citizen.

yes it does ...but banning him from entering is not a good idea

instead let us challenge him to a open debate and point to him that his interpretations are his views and authoratative at all

So what, even if he was bi-sexual?
by Sonia Gandhi on Apr 07, 2011 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

People should respect Gandhi, if they want to, only and only for his political acts.
No matter what he was doing in his bedroom, it should not make any difference as long as everything was consensual between adults.

Why people are so much interested in this topic? I feel whenever anything related to sex comes up for any famous person, we Indians take so much interest. ND Tiwari, Nityanand, Satya Sai Baba, Prakashanand, Kripalu Maharaj etc etc.

its same that book is not baned through out india. Its a biggest insult to Gandhiji not by the author but the people and govt of india who are not opposing this book.

Woud you praise if some write a book on your parents with similar context?

The Facts
by Syz on Apr 07, 2011 08:11 PM  | Hide replies

Indians should understand that everybody has freedom of speech. Anybody can say anything which is fact. Whatever is written in the book are hard facts, nothing is fabricated. They are and were always in front of us (national archives). Anyone can verify them. It all depends on how you interpret them. To be this book has zero literary value to me, but might be useful for a historian.

can sleep on a bed without having sex. Just go and see how many Indians do it in their house, because of space constrains and poverty.
