I as a hindu do go to church once a while and respect all other religions!! Is it wrong?? If father is one caste and mother is another, Child can adopt to which ever he likes and can change it when he is a youth able to understand the world.. so kindly consider what you are saying before accusing.

Yo..I am not a fan of MK Govt. I am sure MK Govt is trying to take it back on this IAS officer. But the fact is that this guy did get a false certificate. That is my point

Does the above matter deny the fact of rowdiyism by sumangali cables or the disappearance of land in case of ELCOT?? Donot go by the deviation caused by government to shield its corrupt arms...
Why did the State Govt rake up the issue of fake cast certificate after 20 years? Is it because he was exposing corruption and misdeeds by powerful politicians? And having suspended him, why did the State Govt revoke his suspension? Is it because it was afraid that more skeletons will tumble out of his cup board? Even if he visited the church for recovery from shock, technically he would be deemed to be member of the SC category, as his father was a Dalit Hindu. The punitive action against the officer smacks of vindictivenss by the hostile political bosses.

as of 1990, if you are a christian, you were not elibible to get a Dalit certificate. For his convenience, he coverted, got the certificate and continued to follow xtianity. That I feel is against the law

His mother is christian. Like you follow your mother's religion, he is following his mother's religion. He is SC by his father's caste. Again like you belong to your father's caste.

Hypothetically if his mother is step mother can he take up his mothers religion?Ex If his biological mother was a Hindu and his step mother say muslim or christian can he change?
A Lone Warrior fighting a battle against powerful Karunanidhi Brigade. This also brings out the extent of corruption in which the Karunanidhi family is involved. If I am right, one of Karunanidhi's wives also harrassed this Officer. Carry on Mr UMASHANKAR. Not only Indian Dalits are with you, but also people from all communities and caste are with you.
I salute Mr.UMASHANKAR for his honesty and he is not a honest representative of only dalits but JEWEL IN THE CROWN of all.The class of IAS officers should follow this officer's honesty and to wipe out the corrupt image. We public will definitely support. GUNA

He is a honest man, because he interfered with Marans and Karunas, he was taken into task. I hope he is correct, when he is questioning about the telecom matter, the Govt should ask explanation creating certificate issue, in the name of caste, confirms, he is a honest guy and govt wants to put him down by any means.

going church for mental peace and being hindu is a different thing. Many hindus used to go church as there is no restriction in hindu belief for this kind of action.

so according to you a only the Temple or Church has exclusive rights to God ,eh ! What will people like you understand God when then cant even understand the basic tenents of humanity.
Question here is whether the Govt is supporting him or punishing him for raising valid points in the wellbeing of the state and nation. It doesnt take a genius to understand that..
