The IAS officers clean record.
by pat ram on Sep 08, 2010 07:53 PM  | Hide replies

That the govt couldnt find anything in his 20 years of service to suspend him and had to grasp his application form to nail him shows how clean his 20 years records are.

Nope - this was done only to disturb his peace. Case is full of holes and now they are trying to patch up.

if DMK loses, ADMK will make him investigate the corruption and it will be pain in butt for Alagiri and their clan.

Uma shankar is no saint..
by R Karishma on Sep 08, 2010 07:50 PM  | Hide replies

While I absolutely agree that politicians can be evil in many cases, this is a classic case of someone using the 'Dalit' defense to protect himself. I read an article in Vikatan or Junior Vikatan, which shows that Uma Shankar has accumulated wealth beyond his earnings. He is also very political. This guy owns bunch of prime properties in Chennai and other cities. He is no saint. He is trying to become a political leader using this. He has the support of Dalit politicians and Churches. It is a political fight between DMK Government and a Dalit wannabe politician.

Don't be ridiculous. If he is corrupt, he will be arm-in-arm comrades with ruling corrupt and make more money. He is honest and everyone who even remotely knows him know this fact. I knew his for last 7 years and he is onle of the most honest man.

I also read JV and so such article came. In fact one came which only talked about the rift similar to above article. It is people like you who will blindly follow Govt propoganda that Marans were hoping to capture.

The point Uma Shaker is making is when Karunanidhi and family swindle 50000 crores as a family, why he doesn;t follow Live and Let Live policy. He is causing trouble for a small guy like Uma Shakar who could hhave swndles 100 crores.

How law takes its course.
by pat ram on Sep 08, 2010 07:43 PM

It is a usual phrase by all politicians in power to say that the law will take its own course. But the fact is it sleeps over many things and suddenly wakes up. Matter of convenience for these unscrupulous. unprincipled, self gratifying, power hungry, anti people politicians.

I salute Mr,Umashankar for his stand against criminals in politics. No one can become different by changing caste.A rose is nothing but a rose no matter what name has it alternately. Ones' blood and quality never changes with change of name or dress. We are human beings no matter who others look at us.

honesty is not the best policy in tamil nadu
by krishnan menon on Sep 08, 2010 07:09 PM

it is a well known fact that to be in babudom of tamil nad cadre one has to kowtow to the political powers that be, even if one belongs to the ruiling caset. otherwise one does not have any chance to further oneself. only being of the same caste or sucking up to the political masters counts. this is far different from the time when there was a non tamilian chief minister with a non tamilian chief justice and a non tamilian chief secretary and a tamilian upright police officer. those days in tamilnadu were bliss - as compared to the dynastic and sychophantic rule that exists today
