India should not give itself too much importance just because a US President is coming here. America is a land of free enterprise and MNCs. They are looking at our billion plus population needs and greeds which translates into a very big multi-pronged business opportunity for the American money makers. Obama being in the highest office is the right man to tap into this huge business venture. The whole thing is that .....
when in india, he will say india is affected by terrorism from pak. and when in pak, he says pak is the friend of US in fighting terrorism..these are the ones said by the past and present presidents of US..

He supplies arms to both nations so he wants this status quo to remain there. Ministers of both nations get their commission in this dealings so evey they want Kashmir issue to remain intact. 60 years we have been completely fooled int he name of Kashmir Issue and parted with our hard earned money in the name of Tax which has gone in defence budget or in Swiss bank of our ministers.
1st and foremost it is v.v.important to see if mr. president will only visit INDIA or like all his previous counterparts visit via china and pakistan?or if they are scheduled to visit these nations after INDIA.., why this is important bcz these state heads frm america suffers frm amnesia soon after they reach pakistan they tend to forget all the promises made to india, more so they applaud pakistan for countering their offensive against INDIA.. so if mr. OBAMA is not OSAMA in mask he will have to prove his sinceriety towords india , AMERICANS can nolonger fool indians with their dual policies and double standards of bilateral dialogues..
I have always felt that President Bush(whatever his limitations & tribulations were)was a staunch friend of India & who thought to have a long term view of the world scenario. He was aware that China's growth(in all spheres)& the terrorism issues would threaten American supremacy &wanted India to be strong enough to counter these dual threats. Sadly, he got bogged down in Iraq and Afganistan and people would always think about that when he is remembered.Mind you, he had one of the toughest presidencies in contemporary history. As far as Obama is concerned, I feel he is more of a maverick than a genuine president. He is more of a hype than any substance. The Nobel Peace Prize was a joke. He’s been constantly harping about outsourcing to India as if we were to blame for that. If India and Indians can do things better & cheaper than Americans, why be so critical, unless of course you are playing to the gallery with an eye on the votes. If that is the case, I hope someone like President Bush is elected. The said president might not have been public and media favorite, he might not have been a statesman of the likes of Truman or Roosevelt, but he had a pretty decent idea of the conditions and geopolitics of the world and showed much foresight and had the courage to stand up all alone to make his views known, even when he very well knew that world opinion and the American public opinion was not matching his own.In

Before going into any conclusion. Think Barrak Obama vs. Bal Thakery even Bal Thakeray belongs to same country and if Mumbai had been outsourcing jobs to other state he would have been reacted more than how Obama is.

Are you saying what Thackeray does is right? If Mumbai is for the Marathi Manoos, then where is the fundemantal right of the Indian Citizen and why is then India a country and not divided into seperate states

200% correct, He was the best US President for India, a man who loved India and Indians genuinely. In turn he earned the love of almost all Indians barring some. He is much missed by Indians.

I am as devoted a Hindu as anyone who might pray in temple every day. And I hate Porkis and Porkiland as much as any Indian does.
But a recent study by India's Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry showed that Indian firms are investing almost as much here in the US as their American counterparts are in India," he said.
Americans encouraged Taliban and other Islamic Extremists to settle scores with the then USSR. Now they are paying the price for their folly. And yet befriend Pakistan, the sanctuary for all types of Islamic Terrorists.
