President Bush

I have always felt that President Bush(whatever his limitations & tribulations were)was a staunch friend of India & who thought to have a long term view of the world scenario. He was aware that China's growth(in all spheres)& the terrorism issues would threaten American supremacy &wanted India to be strong enough to counter these dual threats. Sadly, he got bogged down in Iraq and Afganistan and people would always think about that when he is remembered.Mind you, he had one of the toughest presidencies in contemporary history. As far as Obama is concerned, I feel he is more of a maverick than a genuine president. He is more of a hype than any substance. The Nobel Peace Prize was a joke. He’s been constantly harping about outsourcing to India as if we were to blame for that. If India and Indians can do things better & cheaper than Americans, why be so critical, unless of course you are playing to the gallery with an eye on the votes. If that is the case, I hope someone like President Bush is elected. The said president might not have been public and media favorite, he might not have been a statesman of the likes of Truman or Roosevelt, but he had a pretty decent idea of the conditions and geopolitics of the world and showed much foresight and had the courage to stand up all alone to make his views known, even when he very well knew that world opinion and the American public opinion was not matching his own.

what he does best
by Brijesh Tamber on Oct 16, 2010 04:17 PM  | Hide replies

Talk..Talk and still more talk. Lacking in substance but packaged nicely. And our media would go ga ga about it and then landing in Pakistan he would praise Pakistan for being a victim of terror and being a front line state with legitimate interest in Afghnistan and then head back home. Visit over. India's gains - more hope and little substance, Pakistan's gains- more money in the bag and praise. So all in all he will make a fool of us and leave.

by vijaya kumar on Oct 16, 2010 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

Barack Hussein Obama, am i right about his full name. if so he is defnitely belong to a religion most Americans doubt. This Obama is completely brainwashed by somebody. He is doing everthing against India, be it an outsourcing or a lot of things we are either reading in newspaper or watching in sites. Please check his speeches before he was elected and current statements. Obama won the election with the support of Indians residing in US,now he becomes anti-Indian. ok go on supporting anti -Indians, u have no problem, because u have elected. but those who suffers or will suffer will not spare u in future., they wanted to teach u lesson, and they will.
even christians will not spare u.
