Govt should cancel all the licences of 2g given by Raja and issue fresh bid like 3g
old companies which won the bid last time given back their money.
in this way govt can earn 2 lackh crore rs

corrective action should be taken instead of Halla Gulla...

Not to blame MMS
by mallaiah anchoori on Nov 17, 2010 09:57 AM  | Hide replies

It is absolutely unfair to cast aspersions on MMS despite the writers trying to make out a case for it.The writer herself admits that, politically MMS is weak than the party which installed him in the seat. The party was aware of this fundamental truth over which it does not need to regret again & again. Congress Party cannot find any other person of so much maturiy, loyalty, obedience,
truthfulness, honesty, sincerety & intelligence than Singh. Is it the fault of Dr Singh if the party chose to allow Raja in the ministry despite vent out of all his intentions to throw him out?Consciously, the party allowed his continuance ,perforce, just to be in power.Even if it wishes to make Singh a scape goat for its own follies,MMS would not care for it since he is essentially not a power mongering politician wishing to cling to the seat for ever.Unmindful of all such nonsense, he would,if it comes to that, gladly step down taking it as a God sent opportunity for relaxing & having his own private life.Though trained by his mentor PVR in all his ministerial functions,he could not pick up the "Chanakya Neethi"necessary for survival in an atmosphere of dirty politics as of India. He is a simple & plain man who takes things on face value till proved to the contrary.Well!!It is altogether a different matter if the party high command has some other ulterior motive/s in making MMS unpopular & sack.

He is not weak but strong mentally. What I told is that he is weak politically than his party. He was made the king;it was not choice. That way even PV was hand picked although he did not have a track record of proven capabilities as a leader-either as CM of a state or a cabinet minister in the union cabinet earlier. It is his implicit loyalty to the party that made MMS accept the position. One can say that he has the weakness of yielding to the pressures of the party which gave him a political life during the regime of PV when the latter hand picked him for the prestigious Finance ministry of the country at a time when the national economy was in a shattered state & doldrums.

2G Scam
by krissdrajan on Nov 17, 2010 09:55 AM  | Hide replies

During Dr MMS's heading the UPA, since coming back to power what the public has been seeing has been questioned, only now, by SC. Can the Congress quote even one incident of a burning problem in India when MMS has not been seen 'sleeping over' it for months? Tis justifices that he is " Perenially Mum " or doesn't care so long as no clearance is there from Madam Sonia?

Manmohan Singh must resign forthwith, IF he has any shame left
by Mohandas Satyam on Nov 17, 2010 09:54 AM  | Hide replies

Manmohan Singh has fallen steeply in the esteeem of the public. When Advani called him the weakest PM ever, media went ballistic and every one castigated Advani, but his statement has proven to be the most accurate and sage. Manmohan has overseen, tolerated, and perhaps participated in the BIGGEST SCAM in human history. 1,76,389 Crores is no small money and one can see how the money has percolated from the PM, Telecom Minister, Cabinet, Congress Party, DMK Party, local functionaries, and grassroot workers. No wonder there is emotional reaction at all levels, when the scam is unearthed. This so-called clean guy claimed at the time of election that he will get the Swiss Bank Account details in 90 days. Even after 500 days, he is keeping mum as most of the 2G Spectrum money is in Swiss safe havens. Shame on Manmohan! If he has any sense of propriety left, he MUST RESIGN IMMEDIATELY!!

They need to be deported to Andhamans
by Gautam nil on Nov 17, 2010 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

The P.M., Finance Ministers and Sonia Gandhi are certainly intellectuals who don't need an advise to act promptly and instantaneously at the first doubts or information of sustained huge crimes of scams of each of world record breaking multiple crores. But they conduct raids, after so long, perhaps, after allowing adequate time for the suspects to manipulate records and shift money etc., so that enquiry authorities and courts could close the cases once for all, due to lack of adequate evidence against the suspects!
People of India need to know 1) Total number of scams, 2) Total revenue loss and 3) the total amount of public money lost in various scams during the last 10 years. How is that, so called eminent economists could not prevent such huge loots of the nation for years together? Are they book worms?
When a bank is looted in presence of a manager, Is he not instantaneously booked?
The silent spectator of a crime like a theft is also a criminal.
Are they not entirely responsible for colossal revenue loss of public money of this nation? Are they not the tallest criminals of this nation? Should they not be immediately placed under arrest to be deported to Andhamans to be placed in yet existing British cells?

by SUMIT GUPTA on Nov 17, 2010 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

I am strong believer in Congress party belief but after this 2G scam and Adarsh Society scam ,It is very hard for me to continue have faith in Congress. Congress in center and other ruling parties in States are only making India Shinning projection by only increasing the price of real state. And due to this real state boom or bubble you say inflation is so high. Politicians are tweaking the policies as per there convenience to make money. First they purchase bulk land in remote area and then develop that area launch a scheme. They clearly mis-managing and using tax payers money. One more thing at one hand they show they are using tax payers money to build road highways, bridges then why they are levying Toll on that. They are only making fool of us..
It is totally disguisting...

We should pray to GOD for saving our country from this looters.
