Credit goes to common Indians who are building the nation, corrupt thug MPs except few do not deserve even an iota of it..they need a lesson or two to learn from the speech
I liked what President Obama said. as the President of the US of A he has to take a balanced yet pragmatic view of the world. This is what he has done. We cannot and should not expect a plethora of agreements from this visit. That's how the international relationships are not conducted. Agreements are concluded after a long period of negotiations where the parties involved evaluate the effects of the same on their own countries and to the international community at large. I am particularly happy about his strong defense of democratic and pluralistic societies. This is of particular relevance for India as many divisive forces within the country are flexing their muscles to destroy our cherished heritage of free and multiparty democracy.
An inspiring and motivating speech, covering the aspects expected by India, by an effective orator. Thanks to Rediff for providing the transcript. I would appreciate that Rediff provides the 'summing up' transcript by our Lok Sabha Speaker, which was equally effective, to the point and clarity to the core. Excellent Job done, Honourable Lok Sabha Speaker.
Obama said "From the majesty of Humayun's Tomb......".It seems like late Rajiv, Obama too was brain washed to say that Indian history is Islamic history !!He does not know anything about ancient Indian pre-islamic and British rule, history. He utters Mahatma Gandhi but USA supplies arms to Pakistan and other nations. What kind of ashimsa is he talking about ?

Donot go by words,go by the spirit which was positive..with changing economic compulsons, the US will be forced to toe the Indian line vis-a-vis Pakistan..wait and watch !
Obama in his speech said that all those involved in 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack must be brought to justice. If he is true to his words, he should allow extradition of David Headley, one of the Master-minds of Mumbai attack, to India to face the trial. If he does not, then his ( Obama's) words carry NO sense, and he should be ticked off as an Ordinary person.

what will happen if he is extradited to India? Will increasing our cost by eating biriyani like Kasab !
US president is clearly given a message about the vision of US. He recognising power of India at the same time he show clearly that if you give something to us take something from us. Fight your war wih your weapons only. We will provide you moral support. Be a self depended countary we should not depend on any one and plan to fight our self for our protection. Moral support of world and US is quite sufficient for us to keep us safe & secure.
