Do you actually think that Mamata Banerjee has time to look in to these "petty matters".

She is very busy with the local elections to be hekd soon in West Bengal & Kolkata. She has to win the elections this time round.

So what if 7 million people are stranded. For her it is not even 1% of the population of the country. That too those people are in the far of remote location of Mumbai. I mean what, you tend to overlook a small location like Mumbai in a vast map of India. Especially if you are sitting in Kolkata the whole time since your appointment. She cant find Delhi on her map & you are located in Mumbai.

Motormen acted as 26/11 terrorist
by Bhavik Thakkar on May 04, 2010 11:30 PM  | Hide replies

If 1000 Motormen can take a control of entire Mumbai and they can affect mumbai economy then what is the difference between 26/11 terrorist and these motormen. They are paid 1,00,000/- as a salary Govt benefits still they need more. It's a shame for all the ministers who rule the mumbai and who says mumbai hamari hai.
IT'S JUST A GOONDARAJ.

if you know they drive the life line of mumbai.. you hsould also knwo the stresses they must be going through in their jobs..
im against their strikes... but a motormen really deserves a salary much higher.. looking at the number of lives he handle...ur ministers die while working it wont affect your life but what if motormnad dies during his job??

What stress they are going through job? you are saying number of lives he handle. See our soldiers, they are putting their life to protect our country. they are fighting with terrorist on border. they living without their family. What govt paying to them as compared Motormen who are earning about 1 lac/month. They should be sacked for life time without their funds and pensions. They are blackmailing people. They should considered as Terrorist.

AUTOCRACY OF SCHOOL
by manoj soni on May 04, 2010 11:06 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Friends

Good Evening
I seek ur valuable suggestions on a very relevant matter pl advise all interested parents or any of the aware citizen.

It is observed that many schools r exploiting parents by several ways. The school where my child studies for past few years has imposed an annual lumpsum amt in the name of school building fund . This has to b collected from existing students every year till school building work completes. This will b a non refundable amount. It has been imposed despite oppose from the parents. Paents suggested that if it is recovered then at least this should b refundable. But all went in vain. The school management is adamant . Is this not injustice especially to those parents who r in transferrable job. Please give ur valuable ideas. How this autocratic behavior of the school can be handled. Also is there any Govt agency or body where we can approach so that these school can be taught lesson in their way. Thanks eithregards.

Though thisis a compeltely different topic but it is worth acting...

Schools could ask for charities but then cant force it on students.

parents should unite and do u think a consumer forum might be able to help you out cause after all you/ your ward are like a customer in the bussiness called school..where education is sold. anything other than that shouldnt be parents concern.

its like charging 50rs extra upon the metered fare for beutification of rickshaw..

Yup ... this isnt a topic for this heading but is worth a thot.

Manoj...Unfortunately education is being made a profit making instrument & these schools are nothing but shops.
More or less every school exploits the children & parents. So i think Parents & all scupulous indians must stand together against such institutions.
Money is all wt matters to them.So hit where it hurts.Destroy their rapo in market & disable their business activity. They will come begging to you.

In your case if other parents are also ready then an unrelenting protest is all you need.Legal wars may be fought parallely but that alone won't help.Coz these schools generally have a very deep reach in govt. systems & can influencing judiciary isn't a far possibility.

Contact me personally contact me at jamesb83@in.com and we may work it out better.

IF U SEE AN INDIAN BEGGAR DO NOT GIVE ALMS..S[HE] IS A PROFESSIONAL BEGGAR.
IF APPROACHED FOR DONATION ASK FOR PROOF OF THE DONOR SEEKER'S FIRST DONATION..DO U HEAR SACHIN DONATING ANYTHING TO THE DONATION SEEKERS? HE KNOWS THE MONEY WILL NOT REACH THE RIGHT HANDS.YOU WILL HAVE TO DO A DHARNA TO GET YOUR MONEY OUT.18 YEARS AGO TO GET MY DONATION [MISUTILISED] BACK I SMASHED A BEER BOTTLE ON THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL'S HEAD AND WITH THE BROKEN BOTTLE I STABBED HIM.I GOT MY MONEY BACK WITH FULL INTEREST.IF YOU BELIEVE IN VIOLENCE RESORT TO IT FOR JUSTICE.YOUR COPS WILL NOT HELP YOU.CIVIL COURT JUSTICE IS JUST NOT WORTH PURSUING

UNIONS
by sanjay dinkar on May 04, 2010 10:34 PM  | Hide replies

Privatize railways.

No unions and the problem is sorted out.

Because its a nexus of Union leaders with politicians like RRP & MB.

No union no RRP no political involvement.

NO PROBLEM

you have really goon to the root casue of the problems Brother...

people should understand where does it start from..

Once privatised these people ofcourse owuld get better paid if they perform or would be made redundant for low performance.. But dude thet do deserve a better sal pack as its much more critical then drivin a cab. i would term it slightlly less critical than pilots...but in term of man-handling..its much ciritcal than pilots job...

BUT WHO WILL CONTROL THE FREQUENT TARIFF HIKES WHICH THE PVT BODIES WILL RESORT TO? WILL ALL THE PRIVATISED BODIES AGREE TO A COMMON CENTRALLY CONTROLLED SIGNALLING SYSTEM? THROUGH BRIBERY [GIVEN AND TAKEN] SOME VESTED INTERESTS WILL HAVE THEIR SERVICES OVERWHELM OTHERS'.IF MANAGED LIKE THE PVT SECTOR PLANES WITH COMMON RTC'S IT WILL BE REALLY GOOD.
