Privatise Railway
by rahul kamble on May 04, 2010 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

Government is wasting tax-payers money on the railway. Indian raiway is worstly managed institution. Even small countries having very modern rail infrastructure & bulet trains. Government should immediately privatise railway & get rid of this.

The perfect thing you have said. Railways shd be privatized. or even if every railway employee does there part of work that will do. Forget about having bullet train in Mumbai, there are no Ticket checkers on all the stations to check ticket less travellers.Vendors throwing garbage on the platform and on the track.Toilets are in very bad shape at all stations. I agree public is also responisble for dirting the stations but if railways have the right enforcement then nobody would dare to do wrong doings.

Motormen strike
by Shekaran Balan on May 04, 2010 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

We don't understand why the railway is giving overtime when motormen don't want ? Why don't give this job to educated unemployees ? who will be responsible for this. The Government is only thinking about the corporate and not the poor.

I think you are not from Mumbai, you may not be knowing that every 2.5 minutes one train you can catch for your destination and to run that WR/CR have only 1100 moterman.

Motormen's strike cripples Mumbai, lakhs stranded
by Subramaniam Krishnaurthi on May 04, 2010 05:07 PM

Maharashtra Govt. should not be given any power to handle Central Govt. functions.
Let this dummy Govt. handle state functions and other important issues like power, water, infrastructure etc.. within their jurisdiction. Let not CM or Home Minister take credit for the strike being called off.
It is only the Centre's intervention even though late has worked and nothing else.

First of all
The Motorman not called off the strike due to Raj Thakre's Dhamki
As Government assured Motorman to solve their problem by June 15, they suspended 108 Motorman and threatened to imposed ESMA then it is called off

If his factor has worked then he is teaching people to get the things done by taking law and order in your hand as he is already doing.

I suppose he has nothing but spread hatred amongst people .

English has ruled by diving Hindu and Muslim and now he will rule by diving Hindus further.

Good Job,Mr.Thakre Keep it up for continuing the English tradition.

It is only a day when all North Indian will get united like other caste then I don't know who all will flee from Mumbai.

Why give strike a chance ?
by Jagdeesh Punathil on May 04, 2010 05:00 PM

Striking for personal advantage is illegitimate. The Union leaders has to tackle
situations amicablly with the concerned office and ensure that they do not give strike a chance.

It is the common who is affected, who has to suffer due to the strike.

In India the Govt. wont talk to the unions and come to a settlement amicably. The Govt. also wants mean publicity. Any problem could be solved through dialogues. But no Govt. in State and at Centre will do for its employees and Indian citizens.
