support Motormen!
by Deepak Savarkar on May 04, 2010 03:26 PM  | Hide replies

Motormen are hardworking people who work under tremendous stress. Weekly holiday is a must for every working human being. Congress government is insensitive to their demands which translates into strikes and common man suffers in this situations.

Raj Thakare is a Congress man to divide Marathi votes...should be arrested for warning fights with these helpless souls.

We need SHIV SENA & BJP in Maharashtra. let us throw Congress out.

Unruly Government employees
by venkatesh naidu on May 04, 2010 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

Though I am not admirer of Mrs. Jayalalitha but the fact is she has the courage to take on the public administration few years ago in chennai and in a single stroke, she dismissed all the strikers. These people had no option but to call off the strike and returned back to their jobs only after signing assurance of not going on strike later. However, our Mah Govt / Central Government does not have any will power nor any interest in the welfare of the people of the state, who continued to be bled by high taxes, inflations, corruption, terrorism and inefficient goverment & public administration. Dev Mumbaila Vaachwa....................

Stern action to be taken against these striking motormen. 1000 peple can not play with 70 lakh people of this city and make loss of crores of rupees by loosing mandays and production. Let these people accountable for that and deny their DA and increment for next 5 years to make good of the loss, though the same will be very very meagre, but it will be a lesson.

Enjoy the holiday

When only 35% mumbaikar's are casting their vote and rest 65% are enjoying holiday on election day, then they do not have morale right to argue. Motorman's strike is again a good opportunity for them to enjoy the holiday season and Congratulate your helpless MP's.

I AM NOT MOTORMAN......
by passionate rebel on May 04, 2010 03:18 PM  | Hide replies

.............neither any of my close relative or friend is Motorman.

....In fact I one of the suffered commuters of Mumbai Suburbs.

..........But I am sure of one thing the person who drives/carries more than 6000-7000 persons successfully every day....must be fairly rewarded by his salary.

.........We can see in every government departments that Staff/officers/peons managers are getting 5th & 6 th pay commissions huge salary for their daily hard work of romaing, coming late, evading work, accepting the bribes etc.

In their comparision the service these motormans are providing is 100 times better.

They must get their dues

JAY HIND JAY MAHARASHTRA

Is addressing this issue the job of ruling government or opposition party! If a ruling government fails to keep up its promise, do you expect the opposition parties to start paying the 6th pay commission to the striking employees? Opposition party's job is to just question the government and not be a replacement for the people-elected government!

Railways is not a loss-making organization to depend on the tax-payers money! Lets assume you purchase a windows operating system. And Windows doesnt pay its employees. In turn the employees quit the company or register court cases to fight against the injustice. Will you blame Microsoft for not giving you service for which you have paid or the Microsoft employees?
