Everyone misses the grand point, yes Mumbai cannot stop anyone from coming here and earning a livelihood. But have you guys ever wonder why there is slums all over, so much filth and poor infrastructure compared to other metropolitan cities in India. Do you enjoy living amidst this pathetic conditions. How will we counter and upgrade the facilities if there are millions coming to Mumbai everyday. Because of the steady influx the old inhabitants Mumbai cannot enjoy the benefit and amenities of having a comfortable lifestyle. No wonder Mumbai is called as Slumbay and it is a dirtiest city in the world. What answer do you have to the above. Would you allow any other cities like Patna,Bhopal,Bengaluru,Chandigarh to degrade like this!!

The Kangress wants its vote-banks (Moslems from Azamgarh, illegal Bangladeshis who have fruadulently obtained an Indian Ration-Card, an Indian Voter-ID Card, etc.) to be stationed in Mumbai.
This is why illegal Bangladeshis are not just allowed into India, but are actually welcomed with open arms into India and into Mumbai.
These illegal Bangladeshis, in addition to imposing a burden on the civiv amenities of Mumbai and on the exchequer of India, also pose a Secutiyy Risk to the Nation.
The Kangress is willing to compromise National Security, just in order to shore up its Vote Banks. This is a terrible Shame !

I agree with you, I wish the majority had come and voted out congress...i hope the lesson is learnt atleast now!!
You cant just come & squat on footpaths, open grounds, sides of rail-tracks or pipelines (yes! 75K ppl have built slums on Mumbai pipelines. Imagine...) Kangress.. Stop legalizing such illegal slums for votes
Finally Bhumiputras have a natural precedence over non-merit jobs like taxi/rickshaw, peons, clerks etc, anywhere in the country. Else, you will force this strata of less-educated or poorer section of society to migrate from their home. If & only if there arent enough locals easily available for such class-3/4 jobs should they go to migrants.
Finally: Mumbai belongs to Maharashtra ; Maharashtra belongs to India Hence Mumbai belongs to India
Same for Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad etc
SIMPLE. Hindi Channels should be sued to bankruptcy for systematically misquoting Thackerays

We dont hate anyone, the fact is Mumbai is a small city and not a big state to accomodate people from all states for livelihood, and to add to this influx there are Nepalis, and possibly illegal Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and Pakistanis. What do you expect of Mumbai ? Shouldn't we voice concern to stop this mass migration which has made life miserable to all settled including Mumbaikars.

And about 3 crores Marathis living outside Maharahstra, can you cite the source, even if true they may be spread all over India and not crammed up at one city.

Hi Sacchi, I think, you are north Indian. Marathis are not beggar like what you are begging. Marathis never tries to impose their culture, their language in other states wherever they go. They are still highly respected in Bangalore and even In Delhi. I have had experience in Delhi while staying in rented house of Punjabi Family and realized that he strongly recommends only maharashtrians to stay in His house and this is the identity of Maharashtrians. Bark and beg somewhere else.

If this kind of feeling continues then one day BT will bar people from Vidharva region to come to Mumbai on the issue that they would spread filth in the city. Migrants are not only people from outside the satte bt from inside distant locations as well. Indian media is highlighting the issue and in this way creating a rift among us which was previously within us but now out in the open..

I suppose you have not lost your senses. any sensible man would support humanity, what this thakeres done to mumbai or maharastra other than confusions etc.,
Re: Re: Re: LOL

This was even evidenced by top industrialist & businessmen in Mumbai & that is the reason as of date, they are very close to Shivsena chief. They personally (look at recent visit of Mukesh Ambani with Nita Ambani, Amithabh Bachhan, Sudha murthy -wife of N.R. Narayana Murthy, Subhatra roy)visits to Thakre"s house to wish him on his birthday. Sitting in house, watching baised medias which are paid by ruling party in Maharashtra and at the center and commenting is very easy man, but going so deep and study the matter is very difficult. The fact of the matter is that we indians are mostly well-known for our double standards. On face, we say that we are Gandhiji followers and at back we do all those things which Gandhiji was against of it. But who cares? Neither Media nor the common man like you and me. They just publish the news without knowing the facts and which ultimately helps to spread hate against Maharashtra to the rest of India and againsts rest of India to Maharashtrians. Before closing, still i would love to suggest you to watch recent LIVE discussion with Pakistani's News channel, their foreign ministers on TIMES NOW and observe the comments made by pakistanis on Mr. Bal thakre. For Pakistan, Mr. Bal thakre & Mr. Praveen (bajrang Dal) is biggest enemy like USA have Laden, you may continue to spend time commenting on Bal Thakre. No Issues, I personally feel that to know the importance of Bal thakre, you should have born in Hindu family & that to in Mumbai during 93

Hi Jayapalan, it is very nice to read your viewpoints, but one biggest mistake is made by you that he has done nothing other than confusions. Most of indians call him Anti-India. but one thing, would like to share with you that when Mumbai was burning in 1993, when hindu womens, hindu girls were raped openly without knowing they are marathis or north Indians, when innocent hindu peoples (whether they are marathis or north indians) were being killed by anti-nation peoples, there was only one MAN in Mumbai who fought for the life of Hindus and most of shiv saniks were sacrified their life to protect the Hindu's, It was Mr. Balasaheb Thakre. Today, you may call him as a Terrorist, but go to the houses of Hindi peoples which were destroyed in 1993, I am sure you would hear the praise from the peoples be it Marathis or North Indians; for Balasaheb Thakare. But the thing is that we indians do not want to accept the truths and the facts. We love to listen only "Hate" formula, would love to watch Live RAPES. but would never be interested to go and see the histroy of 93 before commenting on BT. If you dont know, refer one article published on Oct 27, 1993 in TIMES OF INDIA and read brave story of this Hindu King - Balasaheb Thakre. I am sure being an Hindu, you would not dare to talk against him.
All of us claim to be educated and we think that we are scientific and rational in our approach.
So, should there not be a limit on the number of people per unit area? In other words, the population density should not exceed a certain value, let us say 1000 people per sq. km. or any other meaningful number.
Secondly, preference should be given to locals. I don't understand why poeple from other parts should come and settle here? What is wrong with their states? Are their Chief Ministers busy building statues?
If these states are backward and if there are not enough opportunities there, why are they producing people and exporting to other parts of the country? Can't Maharashtrians themselves produce enough people for their state?
The Constitutional provision that anybody can live anywhere must be amended. All migration must be banned. Let each citizen stick to his ancestral place and develop his ancestral place. There are others to take care of other places. If a certain place is backward, then let that place not produce any more people.

I think Mr.P R K Reddy has tried to bring out a fact which is very relevant for all states including the southern states which boast about literacy.Take for example the state of Kerala. Is there any industry worth mentioning. All the central Govt offices and establishments are all service oriented. The state has become a major consumer state with precious nothing to claim on revenue generating activity. The agricultural lands are converted by real estate mafias for construction of multistoreyed buildings and further spoiling the society. All the politicians, ministers irrespective of the party they belong to repeatedly take the people for a ride. What are the intelligentia doing there.Reeling out tons of papers of their ideas who nobody reads because of their preoccupation with the day to day problems. Mr.Redddy has pointed out the problems in clear manner. The governments should work in that direction to bring about over all development by giving more thrust to agricultural activities, related industries, irrigation facilities,Drinking water projects,Small scale industries etc....But before starting all these the very idea of strikes and work to rule etc.. should be banned. If anybody creates obstruction to such developmental activities they should be interned irrespective of party they belong to and the position tthey hold. The country will develop.

No Constitution is required. The simplest way to achieving this is by developing their own states, especially UP and Bihar. That way the States progress, the country progresses and the people progress.
