Here india anyone can get anything on payment then how UID can not be bought. Faltu ka kam to divert the mind of people from wrong doing of this government.
UID would be a project welcome if we had respectable politicians in place. With the highest level of corruption prevailing in all political parties including the criminal background of many politicians it will not be very soon that they will sell the data to various organizations for monetary gains. It is nothing new. What mechanism do we have in place to prevent such misuse. Who would be punished for such lapses. Not a long court case cuz by that time the money would be digested by the grandchildren of the accused. The govt of India cannot guarantee the security of such things so it is just an avenue to generate money for those supporting the project. We had Voting ID cards. but today where does that project stand. PAN cards are a major success. It is not difficult to hack into the system that holds data on UID and rob someone's identity. In the US after having technology that India is light years of even dreaming about there are regular cases of Identity theft. So no technology and the background of our political system (all parties) its just a waste of the common mans money. Jai Hind.
If the UID project is successful, does it mean that Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, Nepalis and other people living in this country illegaly and snatching the resources of India's taxpayers will be identified and kicked out of India

GIRISH, YOUR VERY DOUBT IS AGAINST SECULARISM. ALL IMMIGRANTS ESPECIALLY THE ONES FROM BD AND PAK WILL BE GIVEN UID WITHIN DAYS AFTER THEY ENTER
Ration card, domicile, passport, pan, tin,...now UID..wats goin on? Why cant these gov ppl plan for 10-15 yrs & come out with somethin unique? It should be a gov initiative & not a private initiative of INFOSYS to fill their coffers? Damn we hav to suffer in long queues to submit our applications outside their offices & worst of all we have to listen to their tantrums. enough is enough!!!! NO MORE!!

By implementing UID systems in countries like india just politicians and adminstrative dpt finding another way to pool govt money.
We need house Food and dont waste it and if you are not able to protect distribute to poor people at free of cost Water education Proper govt school bldings Hospital Iter connectivity with each villages Roads Current facility rural deelopment Health care units All basic necessity . Than u can implemet all these.
Technology is the biggest enabler of positive change. As it is the case with the human race, everything can be misused. in the U.S. doctors scan and tell a pregnant mother whether it is a boy or a girl and the parents plan everything accordingly. In India, we have banned it because large population, be it urban or rural used it for female feoticide. Similarly, the U.S. has the concept of SSN which wors beautifully for everyone there. There is no other country like the U.S. which values every citizen's life and everything about their country. We may hate them for bullying the world but they take care of their citizens. Poverty exists in America too. Racism exists there too. But all that doesnt stop them from progressing with use of technology. You can use technology to fly an aircraft and terrorists can use it to fire a missile. Positive change and innovations dont get stopped.
